Um....that's enough to power a couple of city blocks at peak usage, and 1,000 times what it actually puts out.

Typical comment from "Russians" referring to the past...
The worst place to get advise on Ural it's Russia or Russians with no clue on the subject.

Why? Very few peoples know what are the "new" Ural and even less (...) drove one of them.

Even one of the journalist of Moto-magazine.ru "discover" the new Ural after a 6000km ride... (September&October 2013 issue)

Instead of listen some ignorants better to read the ride reports like Mr Cob in Australia:

If you doubt your abilities, tend to whine a lot about little things and cannot get past the speed, then stay away from the Ural brand. It will always have its quirks, but you can fix it pretty easy.

I am now in the market for a dual sport again, and WAS considering a used 1150 GS. What put me off from used is all the minor things on a modern bike like the GS that take hours and computers to accomplish. The Ural's simplicity will always be its greatest assets.

Villainizing every potential flaw of a Ural, while mocking her magical allure, is akin to saying each and every evil trait attributed to the female gender is cause to favor celibacy, or worse... .

As for me this double breasted voluptuous Russian vixen reigns notoriously supreme !! Yes with her ample and inviting side-slung love seat, knee brace clad front suspension, meandering drunk on her own fumes, throwing her ass out of whack after visceral romps, along with a litany of similar lustful beckonings, finds her gazing into my tool-box, thirsting for remedial action, massaging, caressing, pounding another ride out of her timeless torso. Leave us alone, or feel free to envy the devotion of our conjugal restitutions, after which there will be a brief respite, then we ride again, further if not faster upon knowing the next mile will see blonde Germans and Japanese brunettes alike, all of whom envy the attention I give to her. This bitch has olive drab locks of hair, with black and tan hi-lights, full of grease and the spittle laden profanities I have uttered while delving into her vintage bowels. See us ride.... she is loving me for the miles and we will have one another no matter where she chooses to pause, taunting me to arouse her yet again.

Seriously though, the OP forgets some of us see the glass as half full. Sort of like having a special needs child, quite often that child is by far the most endearing of God's creations, and worth any concession.

Hmmm, never thought about it that way but now that you have said it, my Ural is kind of the special child in the family. Darn cute despite the obvious limitations.

    Yep, you nailed it.:clap
