Great work, Dsquared! After a two year Rustic Road hiatus I put on 380 miles today and grabbed seven RRs over four counties around the southwest area. It was about 50 degrees when I left Green Bay and 77 in La Crosse. It rained most of the afternoon, but it was still a beautiful day on the bike. I will post pictures when I get home.

I was planning to ride 76 and 73 on the way home yesterday, but only got 76. There was a road closure and big storms coming toward the Wausau area, so I stayed south. 76 was a nice 9 mile ride on a gravel road with a pretty good photo spot in the middle. I am not that confident on gravel, but riding these roads has made me a bit more comfortable.

The sign on the north end of 64 is in bad shape and there is no sign on the north end of 56. I noticed when looking at my picture that there is no number on the sign at the west end of 76.

Here are some of the pictures from my ride.

And one more on the bridge midway through RR 76. I hope to get back out to Clark County and get 73 along with 1 and 78 north of there on a day trip later this summer.

Knocked out 18 roads, used Eau Claire as my base. Swung through the southwest region to get my last 5 there. Did not think RR 91 would be the hardest for me yet, pretty proud to have made it through with the VFR, sketchy going up the loose gravel at the steep angle and then going down the other side with all the ruts from the rain.

Nice one. I enjoyed 91 it is indeed a little hairy. you may find that RR 50 is the most challenging for you..........it's quite sandy, so be ready for that.

I have that one checked off and I remember there being one that was really sandy that my stubbornness didn't let me turn back even though looking back I really should have, especially riding solo. But after that experience, I said no more to super sandy ones until I have a knobby tire fitted bike. I was a little worried that some of the ones in the north western part of the state would be tough with the spring rainfall but I didn't notice much other than some occasional rutting.

That is some nice work Stoops. Eighteen roads is impressive! 91 was dry when I was there, so it was not too bad for me. I am not a fan of the sandy sections and have not ridden RR 50 yet.

Glad to see folks getting after it! Plenty of stickers left - who is going to get the next one?

I am at 85 total, there are a few I can get with day trips, but I'll probably need a weekend to get over the 100 count, most of my unridden ones are in the Northwest.

Day 1 of 3 done. Got 4 and had some butt puckering sand and mud getting there. Tenere also hinting it's cam chain tensioner is failing. Arg!

Day 2 collecting roads in east central WI. Great weather and RR50 wasn't sandy much at all!

Heads up that RR51 is "closed". We go through but is very rutty and the road that connects to it half way is washed out!

Also the signs on both ends are missing.

Looks like the water had really roared through that spot not long ago. How was the little hill climb just after that?
It's not that it's so steep, but the material is/can be quite loose and water-washed.

I really like that area down there.
