That's true. But I didn't even make it out to the bike to not make it to the ride... DL is ready at Red Hills with the recall being completed. I'll pick it up this week and get it posted for sale, so I won't make the next one either :eek7

HA! I bought one the other week, it's the THIRD time I've owned this bike. I quit riding off road for quite a while after a good bud got hurt pretty badly; I returned to riding bicycles both on and off road. During a pretty rowdy ride off road, I low-sided and broke my clavicle -- this time the left side (I broke the right side on a 600 Gixxr at Jennings race track almost ten years ago, so now I'm symmetric again.) Figured having righteously burst my ass on a bicycle, I might as well go back to dirt bikes. But the DR is kinda boring after a slew of KTMS. So I bought a 300 two smoke w/o a magic button. Ugh. Gonna find another fuel injected KTM and part with the DR I imagine.

    How's ole $Bob doin'?

From the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association):

Meeting Notice: Florida National Forests Resource Advisory Committee, June 29

"U.S. Forest Service Resource Advisory Committees have a documented ability to influence and guide agency priorities. The volunteers on these committees can help identify projects that may not seem, on the surface, to be related to off-highway vehicles, yet can have a direct effect on riding areas. For example, discussion of a timber harvest project may not fully consider its effect on existing OHV opportunities.

RAC members bring their own distinctive perspectives to the planning process, and they also need members of the public to join the discussion. Now is the time to engage with your land managers by attending a meeting and making your views known.

Agenda items for this meeting include introducing new members to the committee and how it operates and reviewing new projects within the RAC's geographic area of responsibility.

    When: 3 p.m. Thursday, June 29

Where: Forest supervisor's office, 325 John Knox Road, Tallahassee, Fla.

For more information, contact Denise Rains, RAC designated federal officer, by phone at (850) 523-8568 or by email at drain@fs.fed.us.

Thank you in advance for attending and/or commenting. If you do submit comments, please forward a copy to us at grassroots@amacycle.org. Please forward this alert to your friends and ask them to attend this meeting, too."
