Curious, does anyone know for sure if a gas tank built for a 1985-on Monolever BMW will fit a 1978 R100RS without issues?

I know for a hard stone cold fact that a R80G/S Paris Dakar tank will fit. My Iron Butt Bike in '92 was set up that way.

Wider tunnel in the mono lever tank for the extra electrics on the backbone.

Thanks all, I wonder how much fuel capacity is lost with the wider tunnel?

My Mono tank holds 6.1 gal according to the gas pump down the street but I have the fill neck modified so you can put more gas in.
