This is what we call "winter" on the wet side of the Pacific Northwest. Our usual drenching rains have been replaced this week by a strange shining orb in the sky . . . I've heard it's called "the sun."
Big ridge of high pressure has settled over the interior; we've had foggy mornings, lots of black ice, and this kind of afternoons for several days.
Olympic Mountains, over Dyes Inlet. My kind of winter riding . . . .
Had a good snow ride today here in WNC.
Last winter about 5 miles from my house 7 of us out ripping up the snow on the single tracks
