  1. Well progress made,

Put an ad over in flea market. Got a couple bites. looks like we might have a decent-running engine in it by just after christmas, although apparently it may be coming from iowa. Oh well, progress is progress, even with pricey shipping...that is the point of this all, right.

Anyway, sorry no pics still. The new kitten we got swatted the canon digital camera off the sill by the computer and know...smash. Wife was so embarassed that she left it there with the little monster runnin around that she didn't tell me till I asked where it was. That'll be another few hun' to replace. Frustrated...can you tell?

They are very easy to work on, and a perfect first bike to learn working on and also ride. I have a couple I'm doing myself right now.

  3. The one we got is about the same as the one on the left...little rustyer in spots but just surface stuff...sounds like I found an engine, too. should be well underway soon....even gettin a deal from the body shop here at the dealership on paintin her up. Colour suggestions? something not factory but not crazy?
    tell me what you think.

I have a '73 CB360 standing around but didn't fix her up so far.
I plan to rebuild her into a Scrambler or maybe a flattracker, using a set of CL headers I bought in the US.

in Europe, Scrambler parts are unobtainable and it might be hard for you to get a decent original muffler, even in the US.

Generally, the SOHC Hondas are quite straighforward. Correct timing set-up is essential. Many people disliked the 360 because of the 6 gears (as opposed to the 350).

I don't know about a forum for the SOHC twins, but there are some posts in the "other bikes"-subforum of
Check out, Greg specialises in 350s and can organise OEM parts.

Can someone define for me what exactly a "Scrambler" is?
