Christmas Day driveway recon. Drifted in!
New Years Day.
Geez, 17 days round trip seems like hell. Almost 7k miles, seems a bit rough even on the most comfortable bike. I did a trip back in June, NYC to Chicago/Milwaukee and back (3 days spent in Chicago site seeing) in 7 days flat. Left Friday after work, and was back the following Friday Afternoon. On the return route, i went through Michigan for a Vrod meet (my bike) , crossed into Canada at Detriot, made a pitstop Niagara Falls for the last night because I have family there. Round trip was 2202 miles and that was brutal, and my bike sat in a parking lot for a full 48 hours when I was in Chicago. Then again, the seat/posture of a Vrod isn't meant for long distances without modification.

1st try at riding the TW with a snowmobile ski attached to the front tire. My experiment is to see if it's feasible to travel with the ski and have the ability to take it on and off while out riding. Try to steer was like trying to pry a spawning Salmon out of a Grizzle Bears paws. Maybe steering is better going faster. On a positive note, tire chains on the rear tire worked really good!
First "sort of a riding" for this year.
What is this competitive? This looking realy cool. And what is that bike?
Some "winter" riding today...a chilly 60 degrees...
You weren't near Newberg, OR were you?
Found this video of Swedish Army motorcycles with ski's
The skis are spring loaded to pop up when not needed.
A view of the ski's.
No, I am in the Coos Bay area...
Ah, ok. Had family traveling through that area and they commented (in amazement, apparently) at seeing two sidecar rigs.

CT90, Richmond, VA. we don't get much snow here, this was a treat.
Here's a thought: why don't we just extradite the Abominable Donald Thing back to you so he can rule with a golden fist (or other small appendage) then when you have had enough ship him off to the colonies? Not here, the penal ones down under, please!
Lovely story! Great photography! But how does one 'bimble' ? Does that require specific equipment? Handlebar muffs? Wouldn't it be simpler to just acquire some gloves? Perhaps the luxurious heated variety?
