That must have been a tough ride in that slop with those tires!
Was hard to get out there to the clear roads 1000meters away...
The roads were mostly just wet. And i did install new tires in the spring.
I cant seem to embed this, so I'll just link to it. Its good for a laugh.
That's a good one. Saw it on another post and borrowed it to demonstrate the gyroscopic effect to a few non-riders.
I dusted her off and rode out of this. Spearfish, SD
Very artsy, I love it, my Ruck never looked that cool...........................no pun intended
My god some of you in here are nuts haha, makes a Californian cringe right here
I know what you mean, did a ride last year into my first bit of snow & ice and while no where near as much it wasn't a cringe I could feel
I grew up in Sth Australia with an av. 2" of rain per year so the idea of riding in the wet was rather absurd.
Central Oregon over Memorial Day.
Ouch. That looks expensive. Do you mind sharing how fast you were going to pop off that case?
Trying to publicly humiliate me? I was going about 15-20. That case was a total pain in the ass my entire trip. Well, since I flipped the bike going over a tough pass in the Rockies. I have since gone to Wolfman soft luggage. Less of a risk catching a foot under it and I like the compactness of the Wolfman. I find on washboard roads, very common out west, that the Wolfman is also much more quiet. Embarrassing but funny, I was riding from Bend to Reno and had my hard case fall off, it was the 3rd time in an hour. I was so annoyed I took my helmet off and threw it on the ground causing my face shield to bust off. This was day 1 of a 6 day ride. Ate a lot of bugs that ride.
No, not at all! I figured you were going faster if a hard case like that fell off. Kudos to you for riding in those conditions. It's not something I think I would try.
It wasn't intentional. I did not realize that central Oregon would have snow over Memorial Day. They have since improved the mountings on the Touratech hard cases.
