    -2F this morning, I'm envious.
Our roads still have snow and ice.
Of course it is a little early for the season to start.

Did 23 miles on Nenana River ice yesterday. Always an otherworldly experience.

Was the ice clear? I find that real unnerving. On Wasilla lake one winter while skiing on it, the weather was real cold and while going across it, the ice looked three ft thick it really messes with your mind when you hear it fracture. We went up on the Nelchina Glacier, thats the one by Eureka Lodge, the approach up to the glacier is via a braided river. The temperature had been so cold that the ice was crystal clear and you were able to see the water movement below

You really have to be careful on the rivers and lakes a friend of mine really got messed up hitting a pressure ridge in the middle of Lake Louise

    Do you have any pictures?

Hey Granbury, TX guy. How is the weather down there? If you see a titanium color 'Wing, wave it might be my dad, especially if its coming or going from Coyote BBQ. My parents live ten minutes off the square.

Still riding down here in Oklahoma. Its was little chilly this morning on my daily commute to work, 25-30 degrees, but it's suppose to warm up today to 50 and this friday its forcasted to be almost 70..... but then the weekend its gonna get cold agian, low 20's at night and mid 30's in the day. I know, that's nothing to complain about when considering Alaska winter riding.

Yes got out yesterday, around 12. Stayed on the highway much, and road a little on the city roads, was quite slick and a bit colder tho. Hoping to go for another spin this week, it if stays dry and maybe get in the 30's.

    WAY cool, Nutty!

I'd forgotten that you put some TKC's on that baby.

I hope you're posting these photos up in a sportbike forum too.

I still need to put the studs on my KLR. Have fun, Mark H.

Yeah, these TKC aren't bad a all. A little bumpier ride than have on regular street tires.

Alaskahack: Some places the ice is clear a lot of it is overflowed sky-blue, a lot of jumble ice, some of it HARSH, a lot of it can be ridden as fast as the KDX will go. Looks like you had a nice outing on the hack! Sorry no pics this time.

Nuttynu: Damn that CBR looks cool with the TKC's! Mad Max material. Instill fear in the heart of the urban cager. Way to go!

    Peace,

Thanks, people say I'm nuts putting these tires on, but I would be even nuttier to take the bike up all they way the Dalton with reg street tires.
