Lots of versions. Seems due to insurance issues, many run cameras on a loop to prove guilt/innocence in the event of an accident

If I ever go to Russia, I think I'll be like Colebatch and stick to the fields.

At least the horse was in the crosswalk. :lol3

Well after 55k plus miles on one of the best looking bikes BMW ever made, it is time to part ways with the Boxer Cup Replika

As I found my riding to be more and more exploring back roads, and the Boxer Cup diligently indulging my goat path indiscretions, I finally decided I needed the right tool, so I am now the owner of an F800GS.

Full Ohlins, guards, skid plate, custom seat, slip on pipe, system cases and more.

Picking it up in TN on Monday, and sticking around for a couple days to have a little honeymoon in 60+ temps.

I didn't realize the ride a couple weeks ago might be the last on the BCR. Going to miss the BCR, but looking forward to playing on the GS too.

Congrats on the new bike. Too bad you couldn't keep them both. There's a guy that has a GS1200 and a DRZ400. This is how he rolls:

With all respect to Kyle, but I don't get it.
If it was a more street dedicated hauler,I might understand it better.

IMHO Just doesn't make sense to me.. :dunno

Nice! Did you sell or trade the BC Replika?

From what I gather talking to him, the GS is a very comfortable road worthy, albiet heavy bike, with limited off-road capability. He rides the DRZ on single track, beats his body up, and goes back to street/FS roads the next day. He's not a spring chicken anymore.

I own a DRZ400 and i like it, but it isn't comfortable to do 70+ on the highway with it. I want another bike so I can commute back and fourth to work and then turn the DRZ into a bike more off-road/trail bike than a 50/50 bike.

Also, on another note, I want to make a track from my house in Webster to Niagara falls, avoiding interstate and main highways, hopefully all backroads, dirt roads etc. Does anyone know if this is possible? I am going to start a excursion into google earth to figure it out. Looking for interesting, fun roads to ride and perhaps some cool stuff to see that maybe has some historical relevance.

Still have it, putting it back to stock, selling Ohlins/Staintuned/and other farkles separate, as there is a good market for the stuff and I can get more $$ than leaving it on the bike.

I have had a lot of fun on it, but just like the other bikes in the barn, it would just sit in the corner and gather dust. I really rode very little in the area this year, most my miles were in other states. When I did ride local, I usually ended up on dirt, as I was exploring to make up for being bored with the familiar roads.

I am happy with the decision, and when I sell everything for the Replika, I will be on 6 year and 45K newer bike, and my come close to breaking even

Should be easy, lots of small roads in the area, in fact you could probably find 2 or 3 tracks that would fit the bill

Have you ridden the TN portion of the TAT while down for March Moto Madness??? Looks like it would be a good time. I am actually debating on trading in the XB to get a pick-up so I can motor out west and then ride. If I get a bigger, more highway friendly bike (KTM690, 990 or a big BMW) then I would just ride out there, but the DRZ isn't that comfortable at higher highway speeds.
