Murray (oldmanmuzza) and me went for a bit of a look around at a few forestry roads from Tiaro, to Wongi waterholes, Childers and Biggenden area, yesterday.

Murray took his new KLcaR for a run. Just a few pics.

Wongi Waterhole camp ground. We had a bit of a yarn to Steve from Fraser Coast DSMRA here. He was planning a ride for next weekend. We then headed along Warrah Road.

Bit of tyre conservation on the way north. Good roads through here. I'm hoping we come out on the Isis Hwy, but there's a bit of guesswork involved. It's a real maze of tracks and roads in here.

I'm not exactly sure we're on the right track. It deteriorated rapidly for a few k's after this bit. But anyway, Murray said he wanted to see how the oufit went on slightly rougher roads. Went good.
Bit more guesswork at a couple of intersections and we came to a road that took us right into Childers.

Nearly forgot this one. Off Warrah Road. The Chad connection.:lol3

Bit further north. We went out Promisedland Road into the forestry behind Cordalba for a bit of a look. Good roads in here too.

Headin' home. Straight after this shot I saw one of the advantages of sidecars. You can abandon ship REAL quick when you run over a big brown snake!:lol3:lol3

    Steve

It's in the area we were riding in.
    It's a railway bridge.
It was built by railway day labour for about 1800 quid in 1905.
I bet you've ridden right past the turnoff a few times.

    There's about SIX hints.:lol3

WoopWoop - are you going to arrange another ride day along that route or can you shoot us out the route/GPS track?

    It looks quite scenic.

mate, I'm just entering the VCR & mobile phone age.....GPS is a way off for me.:lol3

But we still usually get out on a mid week day every couple of weeks and happy to do something North from Gympie if you want to tag along and don't mind my slow pace.
If that might suit PM me with some possible dates and I'll work something out.

    Oh & Dusty,

    Chowey bridge it is.:thumb

Good one Dave and Murray. There is lots of good riding west of here. I'll get out with you blokes one day! My number plate is the wrong type!

Muzza, the chair looks like a hoot!:D

BTW Dusty, the Chowey Bridge is well worth the ride. I took the kids camping at Paradise dam last Easter, and they were even impressed by the bridge on our tour around!

FYI: Action Park Swap meet is on Sun 6th March. March 20th is a come and try day. No MA licence required. I''ll be at work both of those days, bugger.

    Murray,

Remember we were commenting on Steve putting a lot of effort into organising that DSMRA ride for last Sunday?

No wonder. I heard on the grapevine today that he had 51 starters!
