Ugh, it's still vague from what I've found: http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index...15b-will-be-moved-to-tier-10-td/page__st__140

Well, it's a bet that some of us are making based on what WG has done before. TO be honest, WG has done a few things that didn't quite seem business-savvy in that it didn't put money into their pockets, so I'm not sure what to think.

WG gave me a tier-8 premium (T34), and gave me my tier ten IS-4. I'm not sure what to think.

PS - sorry about putting out the info on your IS-7, but even withthat info it's a tough tank to beat. :2guns

Um, IIRC I researched and bought the then tier 9 heavy tank (which was the tier T34 ... I can't rememeber though). Then they gave the premium T34 to anyone who owned that tank, and I can't recall but I think they gave me the M103 to replace it (which was, to me, a huge improvement at tier 9 ... but then some of the skills I have today I almost certainly did not have back then... my 50 or so tries to fight in the then tier-9 T34 were just painful, and it took me a while to recover from that loss ratio... there again, i never was able to research the biggest gun for it back then either).

Man, I am the worst for asking questions about the history of the game.

    Reading that first post:

Well, I just got back from the Czechoslovak community meeting. It was... okay. The first part (that took place in a museum) was very interesting, Tuccy answered some questions regarding the future of WoT and generally, it was fun. Met some very decent people there (and some not so decent, but c'est la vie, no?). The second part (the "VIP" meeting in a pub) was less interesting - most of it was people playing WoT on the WG notebook with WG account (the same one used for Hunt us Down). Although it was rather funny to log into a battle with a WG tag and saying "Siemka, kto PL?", it got boring after a while. There were other issues too but that's relatively unimportant.
    Anyway, news straight from Tuccy:
    - tier 10 brit TD Conway was scrapped
    - FV215b will get a 183mm gun and will be moved to tier 10 TD
    - new tier 10 heavy to replace it will most likely be the Chieftain
    - German second TD line: nothing more specific that probably half of 2013, the line is undertaking an overhaul
    - Japanese tree: either 2014, or the end of 2013 maybe

    Who's Tuccy?
If he works for WoT - seems like pretty reliable info!

    HALT.

The thread I think I posted just took a turn, and the thinking is that there will be no free-tank replacement for that tier ten British heavy ... At this point I'd say it isn't worth killing yourself over trying to research it all. I apologize, it was the going word as of last evening that there was a chance.

I've calmed down and haven't sold it yet. I reverted to the 120 even though it galls me to do so. The 120 is just a better gun all around and I've decided the 155 is just there as a lure for those with the "Bigger is better" mentality. I found the same to be true of the T44 in that the 100 gun is all around better weapon than the 122 option. I'm always going to try the biggest hammer for the shock and awe factor, I just can't fixate on it.

Lucky tank not so lucky alone:

I already have 5 kills in the battle, my team had 6 vehicles remaining while enemy team had 5 left.

Ally T57 refused to rush out and scout, just sits and type how he's and SPG, not a light tank; cost the battle.

Many agree with you about the 120 being better. I'm finding the same as they that, if unsupported, proficient enemies know it takes the 155mm like 17 seconds to reload, so they go around the T30 and shoot it in the side or rear.

I'm not going to say the 120mm is better, or that the 155 serves an ineffective bigger is better mentality to the degree that, say, the E-100 gun does vs. the Maus gun when placed on the E-100, because I've used the 155mm to some very impressive effects, but the 120mm is easier to live with... especially if you use Gold rounds.
