I was too busy trying to ride my dirtbikes up ski hills this weekend to get many games in. I was reaping the Churchill payments though. I let my youngest play the Churchill too as most everyone else inthe game just plain sucked, so one more sucky player couldn't hurt.:lol3

I'm grinding away to try to get the Pershing elited. Everything is researched except the Patton. I also promised teh missus I wouldn't spend any money on the game. So that means I have to play for a long time before I can upgrade any vehicles.

I was surpried at how many medals and awards I have in my tanks. I never really looked before. I just log in, drive around and blow stuff up.:lol3

Got my IS-3 last night. That is one expensive fucker to run, and without the top gun, fires rubber bullets. Time to grind with the Churchill some more...

No way would I hand my account over to anyone. That's just asking for trouble. I'd be surprised if it wasn't against some rule or another too.

Being new to the clan thing, I'm still not sure how I feel about it.
Apparently the was a recent purge of idiots and non players so that may explain why my experience has been mostly positive so far.
It's nice to be able to platoon if I want, but I quit feeling like I HAD to platoon up if invited pretty quickly. Most of my Clan platooning exp has been good.
I only ran into one idiot. He kept choosing tanks 3-4 tiers below what was was being run and was trying to give crappy advice. Maybe he saw that I don't have a heavy and assumed I was a noob or something. Or maybe he's a 12yo and normal.:lol3
    (it wasn't Cat0020. He's fun to platoon with.:deal)

Tank companies look like they could be fun if you have an experience and good commander. So far I've only been in one, and the commander kept wanting to "try something". We lost every battle. Maybe next time.

So far the clan I'm in seems pretty laid back. The goal is to join Clan wars, but there doesn't seem to be any pressure. They are going to join a tourney, but when I let them know I didn't have any tanks in the correct tier, it was no big deal.

I think that the clan thing would be fun to try, but I don't know. Do you have to be prem to join one?

It does sound like a lot of fun, but every thing I look into says you have to have a high tier tank to play.

Costs some gold. I may just set one up for us ADV'ers, just so you can have the [FYYFF] next to your name.

No gold or prem required to join a clan as far as I know. Just to start one. Some clans may require it.

The clan I joined(155th armored brigade) has a tier two tier 7 tanks req, but I took a look at the stats for the other members and many of them don't meet the req. I think it's just a filter to keep the really new players out unless it's for clan wars. You've been in more battles than me, I assume you just haven't focused on climbing the tier ladder. I'd think could talk your way out of that requirement.

    Teamspeak is a must though

    I'd be all over that.
Add in that I haven't had a single bad platooning experience with and adv member makes it a win win.:deal

How do you tell how many battles someone has been in?

I am all over the board with playing.....and I have a HUGE garage, just play a little bit of everything. One evening I only played my Pz II and H35....like 30 games....it was just my mood that night.

I would even be intrested in starting a clan thing, but don't think I would have the time to manage it....if there is something to running a clan and I think that there would be.

And yes it would have to be FYYFF for the name.....how much is it to start one?....we really need to look into it.

I would bet there are enough here that would toss in a few bucks into a pool to start one....lets do it.

I really have to start platooning with you guys again. Does anybody know what happened to that Vent server Switchblade offered up? I haven't been able to connect to it in over a month and he hasn't been around to ask.

    Is it comparable to Ventrillo?

How many slots would we want?

FYYFF "might" break the rules on the clan tag rules preventing "Implicitly or explicitly contain obscene language".

I think it's worth 2500 gold just to try to get it through.

I know I would pitch in to the pot if we really want to do this...but like I said I don't have any high tier tanks.

Clan "Adventure Rider [FYYFF]", done, I've created it. 2500 gold, it's another 500 to put a custom emblem on. I was thinking the white ADV oval, on the front of our tanks. Will do the .png file tonight.

If people really want to donate, I take paypal. This is less important for the in-game stuff, as far as I can tell, than it is for Teamspeak. They look like $30/3 months for 20 slots.

Had a shitty hour yesterday when my adopted kid called me for fathers day, then ranted on about her biological mom for me.

Went 20 straight rounds with the Churchill after that, bought myself the IS-3.

    :lol3

Then I sat down a played a board game with my 10- and 12-year old.

    WOT is good therapy.

Yes, but I like it better. It's free as long at you aren't making any $ off it and have less than 100 slots.

It has an overlay they you an see while playing so you know who's talking.

Damn those rules. I'm pretty sure FYYFF wouldn't fly.

Quit the 255th. Won't let me join FYYFF until 06.20.2012 14:35 though.

I'll talk to one of the guys here at work, I think he runs a teamspeak server so I'll get some details about what it takes to get going.

If you have your own server - not sure how to set that up. More homework tonight.
