Sure, first this will be an optional thing to get a real or imagined discount.
Soon to be highly recommended practice by insurance companies until becoming a program you have to "opt out" of for an additional fee....as you are obviously not a responsible driver! :lol3

For a supposed "discount" on an overpriced service? No. If they wish to PAY me for the privilege of acquiring data, I may consider it.

But I'm also one of the few who refuses to purchase promotional garments, or to advertise for for others for free. My last car purchase from a dealer included an agreement to have their plate frame and sticker on the car for 1 year for $500. The dealer didn't want to pay for another year, so their name was removed from my car.

I don't understand people who give away advertizing space, or even worse, buy some company's promotional products. Data collection is yet another thing I refuse to give away. Information is valuable...

Good idea! Get the thing, plug it in grannies car, reap the cheap insurance.

Somebody should make a smartphone app that feeds these things bogus data.

I think this is a great idea, why not have someone be able to track your daily driving. Knows how hard you accelerate, brake, corner etc... So when you get in an accident they can use the info to help you out, no officer I was not speeding see look at the black box. Of course your insurance will go down because everyone is a safe driver and never speeds. I think is is one of the better ideas the insurance companies have come up with, almost as good as paying for insurance just in case something happens. I will be installing this black box in all my vehicles as soon as I am dead and gone, fawk them the greedy bastards.
My house insurance went up by 320 this year because they had to make a lot of payouts this year, soooo that's what we pay you for. It is a gamble/bet we make with them, but they always win. They can install this up their ass then have some fawk them there while video taping it, then up load it to you tube and see how it feels. Then just then they might know how it feels for the world to be watching what you are doing, then maybe then I will not think about it.
Now let's just hope no one from my insurance company is reading this lol :rofl
    So nope won't install it:deal
