Took a nice ride through the Withlacoochee State Forest. Temps were in the upper 60's to low 70's. This section is about 58,000 acres.

I didn't realize there was riding like this in Florida. I have a Honda Magna in Fort Myers that I'm thinking about trading in for a KLR650 or DR650, so that I can ride some trail in Florida. What are the trails like in the Withlacoochee State Forest?

Very cool. What rear bag and what bar set up are you running?

    Great pics!

I was wondering if there is any good DS riding near Venice/North Port? I will be visiting family down there later this year and if there is any good DS stuff I may haul the bike down.

Myakka SF and SP are close, Cecil Webb WMA is close, etc... ANy good riding down there?

The rear bag is the Wolfman Peak Tail Bag. I had it on my GS and it was a perfect fit for the WR.

The bike comes with 7/8 bars but I converted it over to a fat bar using Protaper mounts and the Woods High bars.

Haven't ridden that far south much, but there are some very scenic roads if you enter the Myakka Park from the North near Lake Myakka. There's a general store, etc. right on the river. We usually see a gator or two out there (from a safe distance).
