Yep, decent coverage. One thing that is starting to bother me though (independent of the Speed channel) is all the "team orders" on the final days stages. I know this has been in play for a while now, but damn...every race, if Loeb is 0.001 second ahead...in comes team orders, no passing. :huh Kinda takes the fun out of watching the last day. the race isn't over 'till the checkered flag drops, just let them race to the end.

I love to watch the WRC and being in Canada it is not easy, but thanks to the internet I can whenever.
But as I turn on my computer to watch it I am always hoping that someone else will be scrapping it out for first place. But it never seems to happen unless Loeb has a problem (almost never) the man never seems to make a mistake.
I like Solberg ever since he was with Subaru and pulled a rabbit out of his hat and won the championship. He is dedicated to the sport and works so hard to be where he is today. Given a factory ride I had hoped he would have done better, but he has made a few mistakes and bad luck seems to follow him.
Maybe it is the car and not the driver but I am not so sure anymore. They seem to be trying to level the field and make it cheaper for teams to compete and it is kinda working.
I will keep watching just to see when and if Loeb falls from grace and will Seb2 be the next???
So long Finns to win then.

Not up to the standard of the JMLatvala video postings.... But cool to be there!

My personal agenda on how to improve the WRC appeal:

    1st. Pension Loeb off.
2nd. Ban electronic diffs and suspensions.
3rd. Destroy and bury the reminders of all engine restrictors.
4th. Include in the calendar a winter rally in the US.
5th. Take me as passenger on any stage of any rally. I don't care which one.

It looks like WRC is about to disappear. With Mini factory team pulling out last week and now Ford announcing that they are gone from 2013 WRC, we are now left with one manufacturer - Citroen. VW involvement is still questionable, and new Hyundai WRC machine is not exactly ready. Unless FIA makes some dramatic changes, the series is pretty much gone ;(

How can this be when people seem to love to watch identical cars, painted differently, go round and round and fucking round a tiny little circuit all the while drinking Bud Lite :cry

The whole management of WRC has been a cluster fuck. How can THE most exciting motor sport in the world be in this position :dunno

    Couldn't have said it better.

Bring back Groupe B!! Put some real men in the drivers seats.

I was a real fan of Loeb a few years ago (even got to shake his hand once) but it's getting old and it would be nice to see some stiff competition. It was a sad day when Sainz left WRC.

It saddens me no end to see WRC in this state. My first love was rally - my dad was a marshall on local events and every year the RAC would come through and we'd get to stay up overnight watching cars flash by.

How the fuck can this happen :cry

    2012 season is over.

    Loeb has retired (kind of).

    Long live the WRC.

Video of this weekend in the Rally Catalunya. This was the first rally that Seb loeb raced in the world championship, and is also the last he races as a full-season competitor in the WRC.

Well as much as I dis like Loeb (only because he is so good) he is one of the best drivers ever, maybe the best (not by his stats). I am kinda sad to see him leave the sport. But at least now it is anyone's game who will win next year vs who comes in second lol. But next year should be great :clap cant wait:cry

He will be racing a handful of events, but Mikko will be in the top spot at Citröen. With him out of contention for another title, there are several that could take it next season.

Mikko is fast and consistent. Jarri is arguably faster than Seb, but makes mistakes, and has had the misfortune of flats that Seb rarely seems to get. Ogier is a pratt, but fast, and will be back in the running with VW. Mads Østeberg has been very good this season and cannot be ruled out. Then there is the newcomer Ott Tanak, while super quick, still makes some critical errors that Jarri has frequently made. Ford is out, but will still be running the M-Sport team. Next season is going to be a good one I think. VW will be a well sorted team and car. Other than the turbo engine, it has been around for years in the form of the very successful Skoda Fabia S2000 car. January is a great month. The Dakar is on, and the new season of the WRC starts just as the Dakar is wrapping up.

I'd personally like to see any of these guys do well, but I'm sort of hoping for the underdogs Ott and Mads. That would be a fun twist, and definitely could happen.

Was a big fan of WRC during the SpeedVision days.
Sainz, Makinen, Solberg, McRae, Burns and all the rest of that great group of drivers.
Multi-hour and multi-day coverage was great.

The only thing worse than WRC management and SpudTV is the NHL.
Both have managed to destroy their sports. Unbelievable. :norton
