Well I just got the email to re-up my season ticket to Lehigh U. wrestling for '13-'14. And they have a decent schedule @ home - Penn State & Iowa, plus Pitt & Rutgers (they're getting better with some very good recruits the last few years).

Lehigh has done well with keeping local talent at home, but Penn State has been just getting most of the top guys in state. Its unreal the talent PSU is getting every year.

Getting the email to re-up & also I got a letter from a kid thanking me for my donation to Beat the Streets wrestling program in NYC, must have been karma.

If your a wrestling fan and like to help out this very good organization - check it out

Matthew Fornicola, son of Larry Fornicola lives around the corner from me. Spent many an evening in the garage talking about Pennsylvania wrestling.

Man Penn State looks tough this year. Even their freshmen are dominating.

Giddyup - Retherford is a tough Mofo.

But Guilbon red shirt freshman - is having a rough 1. Both 4x Pa champs.

Ramos beat him like a drum.

Penn State is tough to beat and they don't have the Alton twins yet.

Yeah when those Altons get back it's going to be crazy. Constantly amazed by David Taylor - that kid is a beast.

    And Ruth

They're both machines - they move from one position to another with so much ease - its crazy how good they are.

Bit of a problem at Iowa, hey? Some great matches, though.

But I gotta say, I can't stand the Brand bros. I don't know what it is about them, they certainly had great careers as competitors, but I can't stand them on the sidelines. Seems all they do is bitch and complain.

Yeah, interesting to see what's going on there. Still a powerhouse obviously, but not the dominant force they were just a few years ago. My dad went to Iowa so I keep an eye on them and in the past few years it seems that they've kept that hard nosed style, but scoring points has been a real problem. It's been a long time since I've seen an Iowa wrestler finish a shot on a regular basis.

Saw that. Maples was a ittle off. Not as focused as last year. That was his 2nd loss of the year. He was undefeated last year.

OU has a new coach this year. John Smith's brother in law. They beat OSU in the bedlam. If the OSU heavyweight hadn't made a dumb elementary mistake in the semis the cowboys would have beaten Penn STate at the NCAA s. This sport gets tougher and more competitive every year. More good coaches and more good wrestlers.
