I have a '76 TY175 but only one kicker for it.
I'll ask the guy I bought it from if he has an extra.
Do you need a picture to know exactly what it looks like?

Do you know the stock main and pilot jet sizes for the stock Mikuni carb on this bike? The bowl has the bolt that screws out with the main jet on the end of it.

I came across the new ones on the Miller site but would prefer a used one as I am not sure if the bike will even turn over as it was a barn find and I do not want to put to much in until I know what I am up against. Thanks for the leads:clap

I checked with the guy I bought my bike from and he did not have another kicker.
He mentioned trying the Trials sites and also the Yamaha dealer.
I checked Bikebandit.com and they had a listing for the lever and the small parts but not for the splined part that fits on the shaft.Pretty pricey at about $240 for those parts.
Call these guys as a possible source. http://www.bjracing.com/vintrials.html

Thanks for the jetting information. Mine had a 240 main and I couldn't believe it was that big. I have a 118 main in my 320 4T Sherco

Thanks for checking I need a throttle so I will likely order one from BJRacing along with a new alloy fender for my 247Cota but will keep looking for the kick start. Thanks again:clap

    Hey TRouty,

The kicker shaft is similiar to other bikes of that era, so Im thnking ebay, just to have a kicker you can test with, you wont want to ride with say the enduro kicker, but you know, you can at least kick over and stuff, until you decide it is worth fixing up?

Back in the day the kickers would bend and break, so I half imagine if a person has a spare he'll give up, he's not planning to ride the TY :rofl
YOu see TY parts on ebay from time to time, course you probably know that...

Sting, Just puttin out a feeler you never know if you don't ask I have a pal with a TY175 that I can use to check compression and such and I think I could probably use one from a DT175 if I can not find and used original on Ebay or elsewhere. Thanks for the info

I wasnt complaining about the feeler, just mentioning it might be a hard to wrestle from somone, item. that is all.

you might neeed to or have to bend those others around, as they sit differently of course... Trials pivot at bottom near kick-shaft, those other pivot at the little rubber think your foot would use, if I recall correctly.

I will use a pals 175 kickstart to find out if I have spark. It is a long ways away from running, spark comes first to determine if there is a reason to invest time and .....
