It's the R.I.D.
Rider information display: temp, gear, fuel, time.
Yes, the RID is equivalent - sort of - tto the computer on the 12 GS. Okay a stretch I agree but that's my story and I'm sticking with it

You need a key fob from your local dealer, but generally that's the component that puts the machine in self-service mode. Think KITT from KnightRider.
If you didn't get the fob, you're SOL.
WTF!? are you guys talking about! that is the monitor system for the required 6.72 gigawatts to fuel the Flux Capacitor

Come on guys, it's so simple, maybe you need a refresher.....
It's all ball bearings these days.............
it's a saxophone.
You know that pig goes a lot faster once you remove the fugly sticker next to your left turn signal. I bet you could get it up to 105.......

It's the count down indicator for final drive failure.
The bars on the left climb to a point where FD failure is the highest, and the bars on the right reset each time you put gas in the tank.
At some point between the two the number displayed in the little box indicates your number is up (mine was at 5). Shortly after cool down all the bars return to blanks until the FD is repaired. Then the process starts over.
