Thanks man. I really wish that thing was closer.

I'm going to end up just keeping this bike under a tarp out there until we can get a shed built, so cheap is the key word for this first bike. Couple TW's in my area for under $1k or else I'd definitely pursue your XR.

Thanks again, I'm confused as to why nobody's hopped on that deal. $1500 for a tagged XR4 is a great deal.

I've seen this bike. There are some great inexpensive shelters out there* that would be more than suitable (as long as made secure) for that Honda. And, weather eats blue or red chains equally. I'm not just kissin up to him either (haha), it's a strong solid bike. If skill isn't a factor (not a hard bike to ride I'm sure anyway) I would see this as the way to go (IMHO). Rugged and durable for the big elevation changes.

It would be absolutely perfect for these roads, at about 2x the CC's for the price of a 200, with WV title and ready to go? Talk about a :deal

Whatever you get, stay in touch. We all like to ride with each other!

I should have elaborated me thinks.

It's my brother's cabin, so I basically made a deal with him that whatever bike I bring out there, he'll let me keep it there (WV has much better riding than here in Virginia Beach) in exchange for him getting to ride it whenever he wants

Out of myself and my wife, and him and his wife, I'm the only one that knows how to ride. And they all decided they want to learn so that changes what I'll be buying.

So I was thinking more along the lines of a TW for now just so they all have something to learn/ride on as well.

Don't keep anything under a tarp here.
If it does not rust solid, someone will steal it.

    Shed first, then bike.

Makes sense :ricky great area to learn in. :ricky Have a blast and come ride

Of course a bigger bike, means bigger mistake penalties, may lead to more motivated learning :deal jk!

Cool auction coming up on Saturday. I ran across a post on Facebook today for the final auction at
Skip's Honda in Keyser. I have no connection with the auction but thought some of you guys might
like to check it out. If you've ever been in Skip's you know he had a lot of cool/odd old bikes in there.
Some good, some junk. Might be a fun ride destination on Saturday morning.
