Can we include Paint Creek?
You guys are gonna make me buy a new rear tire ain't ya?
Sure wvridgerider, but you or Bob would have to lead that ride. I'm not familiar with anything other than the main road until you get up to Mahan, but the ride I mentioned earlier could be tied into Paint Creek at Mossy.
then a nice lunch in fayetteville
That could be done tdrrally, but Fayetteville is usually near the end of the ride after doing the Fayette Station Road thru the gorge.
We would pass within 3 or 4 miles of it fairly early in the ride so we could do lunch there with no problem.
Anyone doing Rally WV this year?
Delane, this is right by us!
sounds like a ride
i'm planning to be at rally wv in one form or another
Lil really not sure! Meeting our wives and my kids over there. Likely will ds with dad Sunday if I were to guess what day.... But I don't even know the name of the place I'm staying. To many other things on my mind to care lol

Heading to Richwood Sunday, dual sporting. Anyone interested?
That's a definite maybe. I'll e-mail you.
Ran across the following ad in the Bulletin Board today. Thought there might be some interest here. No connection with the seller.
2005 KTM 950 ADVENTURE PARTS: Frame, eng, swing arm, all controls, fuel tanks, Brembo calipers, exhaust system, more, $2,500 obo. (304)212-4805
Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day.
Yo Hoe! Whatcha been doin? I gotta get my 300 to you sometime this week. I have a meeting in charleston, but it's date is TBD so I'm not sure if will be this week or next. Are you in the burg or cross lanes?
dude, text or call me. original plan was to pick it up in the burg today. I am going riding tomorrow afternoon. Was thinking it might be on it. lol. Is your phone broke?
Heading to Marrietta shortly.
I decided to take wvridgerider up on his Richwood ride offer. Met up with him and his friend Bob in Richwood on Sunday morning and went up the South Fork of the Cherry River a couple of miles to unload.
It turned out to be an almost perfect day for a ride, in the 50's to start and into the 60's and sunny later in the day.
Here is wvridgerider and Bob at our first break. Note the windmills in the background.
Taking another break. Note the small road to the right just beyond the bridge. We took that trail and it was the best part of the day. About 4 miles of 1st and 2nd gear trail riding with rocks, mud, and overhanging vegetation. It was really a fun section.
Awsome scenic view. We passed many other similar views during the day.
There were windmills everywhere on these mountain tops. Approximately 60 of them. They are HUGE, much bigger than they look until you get up close.
A word of caution to anyone riding this area, especially on a weekend: Beware of the drunks on ATV's and side by sides.
We had one close call where Bob was leading and riding on the extreme right edge of the road and still almost got hit by a speeding side by side.
He said later that if he would not have been so far to the right, that he would have been airlifted out of there. Scary Stuff.
All in all, a great ride with two new friends. Wvridgerider and Bob are both very congenial and had lots of good stories. Looking forward to more rides with them.
looks like a great day of proper dual-sport riding
Paint Creek this Thursday. I am off this week.
Looks like a good day of riding.
Those side by sides and quads will kill ya, they are the main reason I would rather ride off road during the week.
But I don't get enough time off to do that often.
