Now, that's my idea of a great dual sport ride!
    Bitten? Hardly.
    I'd say you've only been tickled!:rofl
How long since you've ridden a 2 smoker? :deal with an e-start???

I had a 85 Husky WR 400, it was strong but lacked disk brakes and was the last year for twin shocks but it was a strong bike. I like the 525 and it will do better geared down so I can ride it slower.

How do you like the thumper? How are the vibes? How does it compare to the crf/x? Still not sure my wallet can handle two euro bikes at one time:lol3

My hands/arms are junked from splitting wood so I went hiking today, got in a solid 12 miles. Would have rather been on the GG.

I rode the 450 for a few minutes yesterday, Not too vibey from the short ride, power is comparable to my WR, seemed to flatten out up top before the WR. Then again I had been riding a 250f all day. :lol3

One word for a big thumper: Rekluse!

I love it! :raabia Let's just say that my expectations for this 10 yr old motorcycle have been surpassed.

Vibes are nonexistent compared to the smokers or CRFx. Suspension is smooooth. It rides high in the stroke and feels firm but not harsh like the x, and very progressive. The motor is mellow enough down low to maintain traction in snotty conditions with all the grunt I could need from mid to top.:eek1 Slight stumble off idle is my only complaint. I'm about to shake a wrench at the cap of a bottle of SeaFoam carb rebuild kit. Hope that does the trick cause I'd hate to break a nail or get my skirt dirty working on this thing. :lol3

Don't get me started on them. I would never had bought one outright. Getting used to the one that came on the 300, and loving it, was definitely the deciding factor in going that far for this EXC. :rayof
Now I'm going to need a $$ LHRB $$ and knoobies on this one!

    Anyone running the new? Teraflex?
