You can mountain bike (lift assisted) at the WISP, think they have some cross country trails too.
But I'm fat and lazy anymore so I don't mind lift assisted.

Can't think of any routes for the dual sport off the top of my head, but I know there are several small paved roads around.

While you are there, stop in here. http://mountainstatebrewing.com/

    Good eats and beer. :thumb

That particular area of MD is a great place to have your GPS or Speedo checked against a radar or laser device that is certified and calibrated.

The mountain bike might end up being a cheaper weekend.

Thanks for the info, fellas. Mountain bike it is. I'll try to check out that brewery, Sheldon. Always game for good food and beer.

My brother has a place there. Since you are taking a MTB ride from Swallow Falls to Herington Manor and back, nice ride and not too difficult.

I was in there looking at the Ural's several times, bought some maintenance stuff and gear off of him, but no clue where he ended up after closing. Huge oil and gas yard there now. Either Superior or Nabors.

Yeah, the building they were in has lived several lives. Its been a Ural dealer, a church and a strip club. Good combo!

Introducing myself to all the WV folks!

New to the adv stuff, and bought a KLR last year to to do "camp duty" and run kayak shuttles on the area rivers. I really am enjoying exploring some of the roads I did not go down all those years on more sporty-oriented machines.

I live in Charleston and spend a lot of weekends in Greenbrier County near Ronceverte. Don't get a lot of time for multi-day rides, with two middle-school aged kids, but looking forward to new roads and new friends.

I'll introduce myself as well. From Raleigh county, just got my first motorcycle so I'm still learning. Rode through the city of Beckley for the first time today. I have a DRZ400

Heading out to Greenbrier this afternoon with the KLR (carb issues hopefully cured).

May swing over to check out the Blue Ridge Trail.

Y'all have a great 4th and I'll post some pictures when I return.
