I'll add that to the request list.

On the map pocket, yes, we're developing an admin pouch that will attach to the Tank Vest and will have room for a GPS, maps, cell phone, and other necessities.

We're also working on other pouches specific to the needs of riders from all walks of life. Some of these pouches will include cell phone pouches, holsters, open and closed long gun scabbards, larger pocket pouches, water bottle carriers and others.

The advantage of the Tank Vest is that you don't have to buy pouches from us, any MOLLE pouches will work allowing you as the rider to customize the placement and type of set up you want. We will be offering our line of pouches soon but there are a plethora of options available to make this system work exactly as you need it to.

The material we use is the water proof/resistant 1400 Cordora Nylon. To a degree, yes some of the pouches are water proof/resistant. The administrator pouch we are working on is being designed to be as water proof as possible. This means that the only real weak point regarding water will be the opening to the pouch. We are working on making sure the integrity of the seal is solid in submersion situations.

I have CheaperThanDirt on speed dial for my pouches, but will be very interested to see yours as well. The admin pouch sounds neat.

That's why we designed the Tank Vest the way we did. Every riders needs are different and there are so many sources for pouches that it's hard to imagine a need not covered by someone somewhere.

Add a 2011 G650GS to that list, and I would be interested in one.

This is a wonderful Idea :clap

I'm in the planning stages of a Alaska-Argentina Trip and I think something like this would be perfect! I'm going to subscribe in hopes for a g/f/dr 650 set up.

We have a DR650 in the shop that will be patterned this week. We estimate that from patterning to availability will be between 2 and 3 weeks.

This is exactly what I've been waiting for! I have the non vented IMS tank. Do you. Think I would be able to do a work around to strap it down? Maybe around the lower corner though the brackets? Definartely getting one. Your website says prooder now, do you have any coyote in stock? Lead time on them?
    Thanks

I think we can do something for you. Is the bracket on the non vented tank the same as on the vented? Can you get me a pic of the inside area next to the radiator or other side showing the bracket? If it's the same, I'll set something up for you no problem.

We're out of stock on everything as we are filling back orders now. We are getting caught up but every day more people are asking to be put on the back order list so it's been taking a bit longer than I'd expected. Please bear with us as we work on catching up.

    Mike

PS- I would encourage anyone wanting a vest to send an email to sales@tankvest.com and we'll put you on the list. Also, send us an email with any model bikes you want us to pattern a vest for. The more feed back we get, the better we can serve you and meet your needs.

Our backlog is slimming down. If you've sent an email requesting to be on the back order list, please keep an eye on your email for a reply in the near future requesting you call for payment information and confirmation of your order. We thank you for your patience.

For those of you who have made requests for new models of bikes to be added to our vest inventory, please bear with us as we use actual motorcycles to pattern the vests on. We've located some examples of bikes to be patterned but we're still looking for others.

Again, thank you for your patience and patronage.

You know, if you made them for the Safari line of fuel tanks they wouldn't need to be model specific would they? Wouldn't that work for Clark and IMS tanks too? Just a thought...

This is by far a great idea. Will keep an eye out for a V-Strom addition.

I knew it was a good idea to keep my MOLLE M9 holster :D
