Here I sit, posting on YOUR thread for my 100th post! You should be so lucky!

I'm in Cody. Love the riding around here, Red Lodge, etc. Think I might go to Yellowstone tomorrow.... Beautiful this time of year.

Look me up if you ever make it over here...

Becky and I are quite a ways South of you guys here in Laramie. We ride paved and out favorites are in Colorado, or over the Snowies, and also around the Tetons.

I lived in Bozemen for a while, and am familliar with Yellowstone (nice evening ride a couple times a week), Red Lodge (love the stretch between RL and Absoroka!). Chief Joseph highway into Cody is not to be missed as well!

Send up a smoke signal if you guys make it South.

    robnoxious,
    PM sent back to you....

    Robnoxious & Motornoggin,
I think I am also coming down for homecoming on the 13th. As of right now we (family & I) are, so won't be riding the beemer down.
    :cry

We should hook up. I'll be staying @ my mom's house while there.

Still riding around Laramie, until the snow gets too deep! You don't live around here if cold bothers you!

My favorite rides in Wyoming are the back roads in the Red Desert, but I love the nearby forest roads as well, on both sides of Laramie. Here are some photos from a very wet ride last Sunday in the Snowy Range.

Found the Limits of the GS! Well, in fairness, these rocks pushed the limits of the KLR too. I rode over them once in August without thinking twice, but it was DRY that day! This day we pushed both bikes over the snot-covered rocks:

Hey Cowboy and other WY ADVers,

Glad to see some pics - great riding that day.

To be fair, we found *my* limits with the GS!:D

I'm sure some of the ADV Uber-riders would have no problem negotiating slime-covered rocks at 11K feet in the rain...

Definitely looking forward to some further adevnture with folks who aren't afraid of a little bit of weather! (And Cowboy definitely isn't!)

    Cheers,

    FujoSana

Still riding here in Casper, although I took he truck to work today due to the wind being stupid. I'll not get much saddle time on my DRZ for the next month though due to a change of venue (new house) after the new house things will get much much better for the riding scene.

BTW< I ride year round here as long as the roads are clear. I've ridden my VTX to work on days when it was -17F and even went on a three hundred mile trip when it was 7F leaving out and only got up to 15F by time I got back home.

Man, I need some heated gear though.

The only problem with that pic is you're on the wrong side of the Tetons...

Somewhere up the Gros Vente River road?

    beeemer,
I am am game, but this weekend looks like we may be one week too late. If the snows fall too much, lets both look at joining the rest at Laramie for homecoming and doing a snowy range ride??? If the weather holds and you dont get snowed under, I am willing to come over to Cody and make a last ditch (no pun intended) effort at seeing the park and out at Cooke home to Cody for cocktails.

A friend of mine at work just got dispatched to Newcastle. He rides a hardley, good person but I doubt it will see light of day till May or June.

When I lived in Montana there was good riding off and on through the winter. Just had to know the roads and do a little recon.
