A little overnight camping/hiking trip to the Medicine Bows early this week...
Awesome images! I'm headed up to Wyoming next weekend and looking forward to riding around WY 130!
These are pictures Coveredindust (Chris) took on our ride up through GTNP. Do not let the pictures fool you, I would've never been in front unless he let me, Chris is fast!
Another shot of Medicine Bow Pk from Mutt lake...

Ladies and gentlemen, I need advice on a trip to Grand Tetons NP. I will have one sunrise and one sunset to shoot the Grand Tetons, and I need advice on where to shoot each of those shots.
Blacktail Ponds Overlook? Schwabacher's Landing? Jenny Lake? Snake River Overlook (for the classic Ansel Adams composition)?
What say you? Where should I set up for sunrise, and where should I be at the end of the day, for the best opportunity to capture a good shot of the Grand Tetons. I'll be spending the rest of the entire day inside the park, and staying in Jackson after a week-long stay in a cabin in Yellowstone.
Looking south on Beartooth Pass on the Wyoming side.
There's no such thing as one perfect place. Chose any of them and make the best of it. You'll get good photos from anywhere as long as you get things right so google up some teton pics and see if you can find the ones you want to duplicate. :)
Me and 6 of my buds killed two bottles of that one evening on the way home from Sturgis last year. We stopped in Longview, Co. and had an impromptu cocktail party is my motel room. That's good stuff!
Here's a couple of pics from my weekend working in Sheridan. I took a little ride through the bighorns after class Satuday evening to Shell and then back. Above 8,000ft it got pretty cold, the pass at 9,000ft was about 40 degrees at 5PM.
Some pics from along the ride: (not many, I was just out for a ride)
A few from yesterday, near Jackson, up the Gros Ventre. Last day of the year for Horsetail Creek.

Agree, had I left the hammock at home I might have had room for another bottle. Nobody mentioned the lack of trees in the Basin who'd a thunk it?
