    I really love the new forum software... and it seems to be getting better and better every day and the more I use it.

    Just one nit though... On my iPhone 6 Plus, even in landscape mode, user signatures don't appear. Is there any way of getting them? Often there are interesting links in the signature, to trip reports etc. And it's a pain to have to go to a "real" computer to get them.

    Please can we have more than 20 posts per page.... I got so used to the 100 posts per page on vBulletin. If not making it user selectable at this time, Is it possible to increase the global setting to a larger number?

    The short answer is no.

    The long answer is that due to the way the the Xenforo software creates and parses post and page numbers, increasing the post per page count is nigh impossible. It can be done with an extension, and Baldy is looking into it, but he wants to make sure the forum is running correctly before adding something like that in. It's on a To Examine list, which may be transferred to a To Do list. You're not alone in wanting more posts per page.

    this makes me very sad... also confused to the logic of linking by Page # plus Post #, instead of just Post #, afterall how may posts can be the 27,401,388th post on adv? Isn't that post unique unto itself? With the page # requirement I think it would be linking to the 186th post in this thread? Confused.... http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/xenforo-transition-faq.1079599/page-10#post-27401388

    Still love the site and the content and am impressed at just how well this transition has gone from my outside looking in perspective, with the big exception of the posts per page.

    ALERTS - a question

    I seem to be getting an alert for every new post made in forums that I am watching. Can I turn that off?
    I'd rather only get replies to watched threads and quotes of my posts (which is what I have checked in Alert Preferences).
    Thanks,
    -ceej

    See if you have anything under "Watched Forums".

    Watched Forums - a question

    Underneath the list of Watch Forums there is a selection box that contains:
    * Enable email notification
    * Disable email notification
    * Enable Alerts
    * Disable Alerts
    * Stop Watching Forums

    On the right side of each Watched Forums entry I see 'latest post' information.
    Immediately to the left of that is an RSS icon.
    Immediately to the left of that I find things like: 'Alerts' and 'Emails' and 'New Messages' and 'New Threads'

    Using the drop down selections above I can turn on/off Alerts and Email
    Q1: What alerts and emails am I controlling?

    Q2: What are 'New Messages' and 'New Threads'? What do they do/mean and where are they controlled?

    Of my two watched forums, one shows 'New Threads' and the other shows 'New Messages'.

    Q3: Why are they different?

    Thanks,
    -ceej

    "stop watching forums" should do what you want.

    I don't know the answer to all of your questions, but you only want alerts to threads not forums, right?

    I like to cull dead threads from my watch list periodically.

    Under vBulletin, it was a simple matter of checking various boxes, and then clicking "delete" to eliminate selected threads from the list.

    The current software seems to offer only the option to delete the entire list, or else go into each dead thread and click "unwatch thread."

    Or am I missing something?

    Go to your "Watched Threads" list.
    Down at the bottom left is a "Show all watched threads".
    When you click that it opens up the whole list, with the check boxes.
    You can check the ones you don't want to watch and at the bottom select "Stop watching thread" from the scroll list.

    Thanks! I knew I must have been missing something, and silly me I kept clicking on the "manage watched threads" button on the upper right, cause I wanted to . . . you know . . . manage which threads I was watching! :lol3

    Why do I get this handy drop down menu at the top of the screen on one computer but not the other using the same browser/browser version?

    Must be a browser setting but I can't figure it out. :scratch

    Occasionally when I'm typing out a message, the font size goes goofy... some of the text will increase in size, other bits will decrease, yet others will not be affected. I've checked 'preview' to see if the wonky is limited to the text-entry box, but it replicates exactly. My go-around has been to apply a uniform font size to the text right before hitting 'post reply'. I'm using Safari. Is this specific to Safari? Does a particular combination of keystrokes induce drunken font? I do not regard this a crisis, but it is a thing, in case things are of interest.

    :dunno

    Never happened to me, so it might not be site/software specific. I use Chrome, so might it be a browser issue?

    Hey Mossy_crk,

    thanks for your work on this. I read the whole thread and didn't find the answer to this question.

    Is there a way to get a daily email summary of all the forums I watch? On the old site it was possible to get a 'summary' email of all the days posts for forums I was watching, for example - bikes for sale. I would get one email with all the previous days posts on it. Now I get a constant barrage of emails all day long, very irritating and inefficient for me. Same for vendors, I would get one summary email of the days previous posts in vendors.

    Absolutely hate the new site, and rarely use it now because of the changes. The old site was perfection, mostly.

    Thanks again...

    Occasionally I'll read a post and hit the reply button and start typing "My brilliant response". Then I'll reconsider and decide not to reply - but that reply will ALWAYS remain in my response window at the end of the forum! Is there a way to clear that so the response window is blank again?

    i just looked at the different skins.
    i get it only with the 'revo' skin and only when i scroll down the page.
    i have been using the 'black' skin so had not seen it.
    cant tell you anything else about it...just that i have it also in the one skin.
