Thanks for the feeback, BM. Yes, Revo is the skin with that feature. The only thing I can think of is that the system is detecting the hardware I'm using and not allowing the feature on a laptop but allowing it on the desktop. It's a neat feature, just wish it were available on every computer I use.

Searched everywhere I can think of, and all of my tests and attempts have proven futile so reaching out for help after hours of head scratching.

On the old system you could embed a URL link and rename the link within your post's text and the new name would appear in bold font, i.e., "Click here". This was done using by clicking on the little globe icon when posting a text. I've seen posts under the new system with this same thing done, but for the life of me can't figure out how to do it.

    Help?!?!

After you type your text, you can go back and highlight it with a click-drag of your mouse. Once the text is highlighted, click on the chain link icon in the tool bar at the top of the box (The 7th from the left). A popup box will appear that will let you post the address you are linking to.

:clap Thanks! Just tried it on the "Click Here" in my previous post, inserted there the URL for your response, and it works as advertised. Should've asked that question a long time ago!

Saw one other FF ask this but nobody replied: is there a way to text-search PM's/Conversations? I tested a query in the Search bar whilst in Conversations, and it simply looked in the main site threads.

It requires an addon. The base software doesn't support this.

My old sig line was in color but didn't retain in change-over. Had ability to color text in sig line before, unable to now. I see some do have colored text in their signature lines, how does one get it.

If you make any change to your sig line...you lost the color.

No color and 3 lines only now.

What's the logic behind pulling the color option? I'm assuming you are trying to prevent users from using multiple or annoyingly garish colors. That's well enough, but I strongly feel that signatures in something other than white help differentiate sig text from posts' text and make it easier to follow the conversation thread. So, as a suggestion, what about changing the something slightly different than white? (a light gray, or pale yellow?)

So what's up if I see a box with a blue ? in it, for a photo. It's only for some. I can tell others can view it by their replies. What app or ? am I missing?

You may be missing nothing. Sometimes the server hosting the image is down. Sometimes the the owner removes or moves the image but doesn't update all posts that referenced the old location. Sometimes the image is very large and your internet speed is slow or bogged down... refreshing the page might display the image. When in doubt right click on the box and ask to look at the image in a new window. Often you'll be able to see the image that way or get a better error message as to why not.

Maybe not XenForo specific, but I just noticed that there's no longer a stickied "Forum Rulz" thread in JM. The CS&M sub-forum has its rulz thread, but the more general one appears to have gone MIA. :dunno

I don't get the options bar immediately above the reply box when using my samsung s3/android phone, no smilies, bold, italics, nothing. Is that just the way it is?

Well, it's not the phone. Everything works fine on the native browser, must be an issue with Firefox mobile.

Now both have disappeared. So is JM/CS&M now a free-fire zone? :lol3

    Its the mobile skin.

I have the same thing, but can change my browsers preferences to PC mode.
