Finally got to mock up the new design.
time to redesign the mounts as they just don't work for the fairing.
New pricing if people are interested
$350 for fairings
$300 for modified forward mount Scotts damper frame mount
$300 sub-frame for light, front mask and road book holder
Is that one mine?
YES.. email sent..
Hey, that looks GREAT Ken. Good job!
Red fairings, white mask?
Noice looking fairing, PM'ed you!!!!!
Ken, can you make this fairing for the xr w/the 950 headlight...in a short version, similar to the 1st gen models you made? I'd like a short version w/ a lexan windscreen.
Yep.. actually you would just have to trim the front mask to the height of your liking.. or we could do it for you..
For those that have ordered and wanting to order.
the fairings and subframes are complete and ready for shipping
those that have paid already... the units will be shipped in the next few days.
those that were waiting for me to finish before sending in payment.. now is the time. yours will be shipped within 5-10 days of payment.
thanks guys. PM me with any questions....
it's been really fun doing this.. and I know it's taken forever for the 2nd generation fairing to get done.. to bad I have another business that needs to make money.
I just need to sell about 250 of these so I can make a real busniess out of it.
many were asking for pictures of the weld on fram mount and a picture of the sub frame
weld on mount
Subframe back bone.. still have plenty of room for serivice to headlamps and mounting battery boxes, fuses, HID ballast etc.. excuse the dirt as this was taken after the 510 mile shake down run..
Could you please post where you sourced the 990 headlight unit from. I have searched quite a bit and haven't had much luck. I only found the 990 duke headlight over on KTM twins website and wasn't sure if that was the right one. A part number would also be great.
Call Munn Racing down in Waco Tx.. tell them you need the Euro model 990/950 adventure headlamp
Chip is the owner and very good service for parts.. He get's my Beta 525 parts to me in less than a week.

The set-up looks great! Great choice of hobbies!
3 piece Fiberglass Fairing $350.00
Mounting bracket for front fairing for weld on tab $300.00
Mounting bracket for front fairing for connection to scotts stablizer forward mounts $350
so what is the final cost, is it cost of fairing plus the 300 or 350 depending on your mounting choice? totaling to 650 or 700.
Plus the cost of the lights, which you have to buy separately, right?
Here is the break down of price:
3 piece fairing: $350
Sub frame for fairing $300
Frame bracket (to receive sub frame) options:
1. FREE: weld on mount: I'll supply drawings.. you fab and have welded to steering tube: I can also provide the weld on tab for $50 if you don't want to fab yourself but you need to have someone weld it on.
2. Bolt on frame mount $350 scotts under the bar forward post with sub frame mount
(this is a modified scotts forward mount post included in price) this unit has to be bolted to head tube and requires removal of forks and steering stem. requires drilling into the head tube.
here is all the parts and costs
KTM 990 Eruo head light $200 (you source) (used u.s. models can be picked up for $60 here on Advrider in parts for sale forum)
3 piece fairing $350
sub frame $300
frame mount $50 -$350 (see options above)
So... if your considering this unit.. Your Total budget for this unit: $900-$1200 + shipping depending on frame mount..
If you have questions and want to talk to me on the phone. shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to discuss the unit, pricing and how to assemble.
