    There the same heads...with a few minor changes in combustion chamber volume.:D

    They are not the same, Motomechanic. An '88+ XR600 head will drop onto a 650L with the only side effect being that the smog ports on the cylinder will be disabled. Using a 650L head on a 600 requires the air injection holes in the bottoms of the exhaust ports to be plugged.

    Are these kits likely to be available anytime soon? Wondering if it's worth holding out or starting fabrication on my own? I'de prefer to buy a kit and weld it on than make the whole lot myself. Time is more valuable than $$$ lately.
