When I stand up for extended periods I find I have to bend over too far. As a result, Im looking at adding some hi-rise bars to my XR such as ATV bars with a 4.5" rise and perhaps a handlebar riser.

How high can I go before the cables need replacing?
Whats the highest other people are running?

I run rox risers 2", they help, but I still need to go higher. I'm 6'4.

Pastrana fmx with big bar adapters are the tallest you can go without cable extensions. I run these. They are a bit narrow and have almost no pullback. Still a bit crammed but good enough.

I use Rox raisers the ones that pivot. If you just use std raisers it cramps the cockpit as the bars moves closer to you. you need something that will raise it and move it away from you.:y0!

rox-speed-fx-pivoting-handlebar-risers ( need to turn throttle so that the cables enter at the bottum instead of the top, to ensure stock cables reach.

    :freaky

See if can get the dealer to give you a trail run before buying it.

I would drilling holes in the side panel help? I really don't want to but if helps then I'll do it.

I don't believe that it's beneficial on a stock motor.

Is that the police coming to take you away in the white van? I would assume so, because obviously you are nuts.:rofl

I did that once, rode to work in 20 degree weather. I was so cold and f'ed up by the time I got to work I was worthless the rest of the day.

I think at 1.5" you will run out of cable, but that is basically just a guess.

I have mine bumped up a bit with risers and bigh bend bars. After some rerouting, I only needed longer throttle cables. The Motion Pro replacement cables are longer than stock and work.
