I love you too .... man.
Let us know if you do get into the motor.....good stuff.:eek1
Good luck, Pops. I hope the DR650 treats you well.
I know you live one state north of Kentucky, but the saga with your XR650L still reminds me of this song.

Has it only been two weeks?!
A month is what I've heard
A pre-ban warning would've been nice.
When the Ban Hammer hit's, it hit's without warning.
BAM goes the hammer.
Anyone have their OEM sprocket cover they want to sell me? (#2 below)
Mine is all chopped up...
DAMHIK (Don't ask me how I know). You're also an ex-con, aren't you, Steve?
Sure, I will get you mine for $5 plus shipping. PM me, will answer in the AM>
Ahhhhh...neither was I.
That's a good one Spud. She's a long time favorite of mine.
Just ditch it.
I didn't realize there was ever a counter shaft sprocket cover on the XRL??
Yeah there is a cheap plastic piece that costs nearly a 100 bucks at the honda shop. I cracked mine and just threw it in the garbage.
You may think it's a cheap piece of plastic but there is a piece of steel inside it to hopefully protect the engine case in the event of a chain failure. Something is better than nothing.
