Quick question, does anyone know if the needle on the slider that goes into the main jet is supposed to have a wobble to it? Seems mine does and I can't tighten the nylon nut tight enough to make it go away. It looks like I'll be having to replace the slider since it has some play when the butterfly is all the way open, I'm not sure. I'll take a video tomorrow and see what you guys think.

Mine's pretty clean, and the carb might not even be the issue for sure to be honest. The problem is, if something is off spec, I won't even know because I don't know what to look for. I may just take the carb to the dealership and pick the mechanics brain... He's the only decent one at the dealership and seems more than willing to help.

Loosen the triple clamp bolts and the pinch bolts on the bottom. Give the forks a couple of good compressions and tighten everything back up. I doubt you bent anything...

Yeah hopefully that's it. I'll give it a try when I've stopped giving her the silent treatment. Damn can she take a beating though. It's a love-hate relationship.

Uh, aren't sidecars normally kinda smallish compared to the bike powering them? that looks like a cart that needs it's own separate propulsion system!

The camera angle makes it look to big. It doesn't weigh much at all.

The needle wobbles. That is so that it will center up in the atmoizer jet.
If you are talking about the slide, check out that part at a Harley dealership. I have heard it is way cheaper there than a Honda dealer. That is an expensive part. Consider a new carb.

Took my XR out today. First real ride since I got it as a basket case a couple months ago. I went from Silverado Canyon to Ortega Highway over Santiago Peak on dirt roads ~120 miles total. Bike exceeded my expectations and climbs like a goat. I think I've got a new favorite bike.

Anyone have a spare mixture screw laying around for the stock carb they'd be willing to part with?

Anyboby have an OEM chain guide? The one that mounts to the swing arm by the rear sprocket. Could also use the front lower guide that mounts to frame just below swing arem axle as well.

    Pm, Thanks, Fritz

Pretty sure I have the rear one. I'm out the door for work. Will look later.

I just realized that the slide has a lot of play, but I think it's supposed to be that way actually. Lol. The butterfly opens all the way, then if I push it with my finger on the other side, it'll go up a good inch or so. I'll take some video and see what you guys think.
