Parts fiche shows the FMX 650 frame to be unique. I'd go w/ the aftermarket cush hub because you know that it's a direct bolt-in. My $.02.

Anyone know if there's an available 43T rear sprocket.

Closest I can find is a Sunstar

    Steel Rear 520-42T
    Product # 2-356542

Am I being ridiculous for really wanting that extra tooth?

Looking for some Wolfman Side Racks for the XR. I regret selling mine and want another pair if anyone has some lying around.

Rebel Gears will make any tooth count you want (within reason, if a 122 tooth is considered reasonable) for anything you want it for.

Those bushings are no longer available even though they still advertise them for sale. I ended up making my own. 8mm ID x 10Mm OD x 12.5mm long ( would need to double check that though). With this, you can use the standard 8mm sprocket bolt/nut sets and gain a much wider variety of rear sprockets for the L.

No need to make your own. Use these bolt liners from McMaster-Carr.

They're a bit long so order these 10mm shims as washers under the nuts.

They also have them in 18-8 stainless at 1/2 the price, they just didn't have a drawing.

Blue smoke on decel normally indicates valve stem seals are gone

Did it do this before the carb swap ?

Anyone have any experience with the various PDMs out there? (Power Dist Modules)?

I know the XRL is not a wattage king, but amongst the PDM60, EasternBeaver and Fuzeblock models does anyone have any solid preference?

The idea of centralising the wiring sounds good. Are the 'fuseless' PDMs all they're cracked up to be? Any obvious 'gotchas' from any of these?

I'd like to have the capacity to run grip heaters and a seater heater (symtec) and plan to get my stator rewound for max wattage.

Modifying my headlight projector became quite a project! I decided to gut both the foreground limiter and the original cutoff shield to do a custom one. Cutoff was razor sharp and beautiful when I glued it down, but as the JB Weld set it pulled it slightly out of alignment...not enough to bother me on the road. I need to change the aim a bit but now the light is *significantly* brighter with a nice blue tint at the upper edge of the cutoff and no frown/dark spot at the bottom.

    Hopefully pictures this evening!

I put a 3000 lumen LED bulb in my headlight and the difference is incredible.
