If it ends up being the CDI FX....why don`t you let him borrow it and send me the bad one to fix...if that`s alright with you...then i`ll send it to him when done...or he can keep that one,,and i`ll send the repaired one to you...whichever,i`m not fussy:lol3

I haven`t seen a CDI do this yet, usually stalling and no-starts...but a weak solder joint can let less power go to the coil, causing weak spark and missfiring under load..so it is possible...

I`d try a coil and wire first..

It is about 55mm from tip to the first right angle bend. It is about 23mm from the case to the shift lever.

As I recall the overall length may be slightly longer, and it does sit further away from the engine case. However, mine was bent so many times and then re-bent, I have no idea what the stock distances are.

    BTW

I just mounted a new shoe to the rear. I replaced the IRC GP-1, which I like very much with the much cheaper Shinko SR244. I'll let everyone know what I think. I do notice their tread pattern is slightly different, mostly on the edge. It also has longer lugs, by about 2mm. They are both rated as 5.10's, but the Shinko is about 2-3mm narrower. They also have a more rounded or oval profile. They look good, but time and riding will tell.
