Anybody got the new XT250 yet?

They were to be delivered in early November at my local dealer - nothing yet.
Hi - I'm the proud new owner of a Yamaha XT 250 as of Friday Dec 7th, 2007. It's peppy, stable on gravel roads, runs like a Swiss watch and is a hoot to ride! Today (Wed 12/12-07) I cruised up to 60 mph with plenty of throttle to spare. Being sorta' old school, I'm breaking it in easy.
My plans are to truck it to where I want to ride, explore the area and then truckin' back home.
I currently own: 2007 KTM 950 Super Enduro, 1993 Honda XR650L and a bunch of old English bikes.
Overview - bigger is not necessarily better... the bike seems to attract people... its mild demeanor seems non- threatening and it's good looks draw you to it. Yeah, I dig it.
well I've had mine for just over two years now. T'was a personal import directly from Japan and I've covered almost 56,000kms. Fabulous machine.
Please have a looksie at www.xt225.com , go to the Bulletin Board, which takes you to the forums area, then do a search over XT250 and you'l find loads of info/comments/piccys etc.
justacommuter sent me the transmission ratios from his owner's manual. It's a very wide ratio 5-speed. In fact, it's now the widest ratio transmission available on a new dual sport in the U.S. I've updated the list on my other post: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=281742
Thinking about one, Rich?
I've always dug the XT225. You know both Luke and I owned a 1981 XT250, doncha?
Let's see some pictures of your XT250 ....
(I know there are a few on Yamaha'a site,
But let's see some owner's pics !!!
Not necessarily - just hadn't heard of anybody with one yet and was curious if anybody had one.
this morning, it was 28 degrees outside, in the garage it was probably 40
stone cold, open the choke, hit the button, and that baby started right up!, I mean instantly
I'm liking my new XT250
I've been running it with my BMW electric vest and the alternator handles that just fine
but, it's been too cold, so today I ran it with my Gerbing liner and Gerbing gloves - I know they overwhelm the alternator and I'm draining, you can see the headlight dim noticeably, so, with all the Gerbings, on for a few minutes, off for a few minutes - overall, worked great
I'm really enjoying the bike and it's a great way to get around town and around the surrounding area, I'm glad I purchased it
Leftee - sorry, no picture yet. Had surgery on my LHand (carpal tunnel), so no doin' nuttin' lately! All the pictures on the Yamaha site are right on! Only complaint so far is the spec said it had a "heavy duty aluminum skid plate" and they didn't come with a bash plate. 2007 model XT225 has them - we're checking on it... it certainly needs protection from rocks, etc.
It does run extremely quiet - like a little stealth shadow.
