Murf! Tell us the story of your bike!
PDXJIM, how do the pipes work for you? I'm looking for more power .
I'll get a write up soon,
:eek1Wow just wow I think I just got a rise in my levis! Not too many new bikes even excite me anymore.Nice motorcycles gentlemen.I wish I was a little older in the 80s to have been able to get one.
Explain, why are these bikes so wanted? Isn't it just a small RD with taller bars? What am I not getting? :)
We always want what we can't have, they were never sold here in the U.S.A. and they have a high fun factor. .
Probably because they look so cool. I know I want one.
What adk just said.I had a banshee w toomey t5sporting carbs ,cool head 110 octane , it sounded and accelerated like a f1 car it would lift the front wheels off the ground thru 5th gear before it tapered off in 6th but oh dayam what a ride:eek1i miss her
Pipes are much lighter than standard but I don't think make much more power.
Best bang for the buck is to skim the head, optimize the squish and bump up the compression a bit.
Most you gonna get is 55ish hp unless you really wanna drop some cash.
55hp is plenty. We only got the little TDR180 here and even finding them is extremely difficult.
Thanks, I need to go through it to make sure everything is good to go. 55hp was more than my RGV250 was dynoed
All you gotta do is ride one.....EVERYTHING will be explained!
^What he said.
was there a TDR250 on here for sale recently?
There was a TDR up in northeastern Canada about 3wks ago for sale on here. His listing was TRD-250, so I missed it at first, but it sold to another Canadian very quickly. The buyer has quite a few hard to get bikes. The bike needed a CDI and a Chain, sold for $2000.00
