Are you entered and want to 'sell' it?

I do a lot up north. CADVR every year, for sure. I used to ride out of my dad's place in Tomahawk regularly until he sold it last spring. Used to park my toyhauler in Eagle River sometimes, too, and ride out of there for a long weekend. I also have a friend with a cabin east of Escanaba and in exchange for some maintenance here & there, she let's me stage from there. It was convenient as my job had me up there monthly so I'd throw the Klux on the carrier and take a long weekend. Of course, that's messed up now. :photog

I will definitely let you know next time I'm up that way. Although I'm probably done for this year. Gotta watch the pennies for a bit.

I didnt sign up, but know the right persons to gain entrance for meself (as hired help) Slight chance I might go just to help out (if needed)

Ive got a shack near Wabeno, but call DC home. Warm/Dry place to stay in the woods, easy access to a bunch of Nat forest playground. Get you and Nestlequick up there this spring for early riding. Show him that DS'n aint scary

I know the same secret code. And use it regularly. :deal :lol3

I've ridden that area a fair amount. Used to leave my dad's place, track through Harrison Hills, then jump on Bryan's NWAT for a bit...through Dunbar...and I'd end up near Pembine. I'd run up and cross the state line and ride the Onta-Iron track back towards Eagle River, the catch some other tracks I have and work my way back down to Tomahawk. Some of the best riding is just winging it. I know Vilas County a bit better, but I've been there a lot more.

I got my V-Strom really stuck to hell on a sand road just south of US 8 west of Dunbar a couple years ago heading up to Copper Harbor. Goddamn mosquitoes were a bitch. :lol3

Yeah, let's get him up there. Plebs, too.

During a stand-up wheelie, you'll likely find that your feet angle up a wee bit from gravity. Also, while it's good practice, it's not as important to cover the rear brake during long wheelies on a four-stroke with lots of compression braking (unless you're attempting perpendicular rear fender draggers)

South of 8 and West of Dunbar is my stomping grounds. I know that area very well. I know the sand road quite well. Just rode it for our event 2 wks ago, the southern half of it anyways

Well, there's a slight downhill when heading north. (I was maybe 3-4 miles south of 8) And there's a cut that crossed the road. Almost like for a power line, but there was no power line. Maybe for fire control? Anyway, Anakee 3s were on the bike. I was rocking pretty good up on the pegs on wettish, kinda firm sand. Some rocks here and there...no big deal. Started down this grade and I lost the firm stuff. I was then in some silty dry shit with no bottom. :rofl I tried moving over into some weeds and by then I was D-U-N done up to the swingarm. No way I could get that pig to float at all. Spent the next 30 minutes digging that bitch out. The Anakee 3s were overmatched. :lol3
