That is the Hepco & Becker. Taken many hits on my bike and still ticking.

That was taken at the top at California pass up the footpath beyond the sign. Looking down at the back of the sign.

I did the Alpine Loop from Lake City to Silverton.

I did the same loop with my XR650L 2 years before and the S10 certainly wasn't as nimble as the XR but passed with flying colors. The traction control (tcs2) was a must in my opinion. I tried a few steep climbs with Tcs off and it was a handful.

Correct. Good plate. However, still possible to smash the headers with it on DAMHIK. A few have reported clearance issues at installation.

I would buy again. Pricey though...

Thanks guys! Really put the S10 through its paces on that trip. I couldn't imagine a better bike with the combination of slab and trail in 9k miles. One set of tires for the whole trip too!(K60s).

Slab from BR, LA to Columbus, NM.
    CDR to Banff, AB
    Slab back to BR, LA

    Best,
    Andy

That Alpine loop is on the list for rides at the Colorado meet in June 13. Hope you get to come.

    Sweet pic Rick.

I loved riding through Moab when I did the TAT. I had never been there before and being from the South it felt like riding around on a different planet.

I can see where you would feel that way.:lol3
Moab is just in a league of it's own.

I've always prefered mountain trail riding on smaller bore bikes.
Some Utards keep dragging me into the desert and I'm starting to like that too.
Well except the sections of whose word shall not be spoken.....:eek1

When someone helps me pick up the bike they see the sticker and figure "new bike
new rider, give him a break".:D

If that doesn't work I play the age card.:gerg

Then I have my cleaning crew take care of the rest.
