Yes, Jesse's. They are great, but I'm on my 4th top case mount. They didn't really design it for off-road use. The 1st three they replaced gladly. The 4th one, not so much.

Is the rear of the ES different? I don't see why it would be.

You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?

Time to find a different solution - like a quality duffle bag in the top center spot.

I like the small pouch cubby hole - good for some tools, electrical fix goodies, maybe some emergency cash for those days when you forgot your wallet... Oh. Wait, that's me. Lots of good uses though, maybe even a space to hard mount a hideaway holster... Uh oh, you've got me turning gears now so I have to stop before I spin off into something less than productive at work.

Brand New 2014 Super Tenere ES.... Number 00005. Got her today! :D I couldn't be happier! Took her for a long ride home through tree-embraced, windy roads. It's a great feeling... I can't wait to get through the break-in period and see what she can really do.

No ride report but a quick summary...started from NY heading to Alaska...while in Alberta on Iceland Pkwy started hailing ..temps in 30s and heated gear stopped working...stayed in Jasper for the night...Dawson Creek got snow and was expecting more...decided maybe a bit early for this trip and riding in Colorado seemed much more fun at this point so turned around (one advantage of riding solo) headed south through Glacier..Yellowstone...Tetons....Mt Evans.....At this point I either would have to commit to getting another tire and staying out west another 2,weeks or head home and save vacation for another day...went home. Since I will be riding out west for a couple of weeks in Sept.. .Heidenau got 7500 miles out of it and probably could go another 1500 or so but I don't generally run to the wear bars...so went to work for a week put on a set of Battelwings since Heidenau and Mitas seem hard to find right now...got bored today and since never cancelled this weeks vacation I am currently in western PA...doing a loop to Niagra falls..finger lakes. Adirondacks...Vermont......eventually home.....life is good...
