September 21st (Thursday evening) through Sunday the 24th.

Thanks for the prompt, Kiteoregon, I needed the push.
Sorry we didn't get word out sooner, hope y'all can finagle Friday off so you can make it here Thursday evening and then ride all day Friday, Saturday, and half of Sunday in the heart of the Hood.

WTF is the Apple Valley Rally???? (known as 'AVR' to regulars) ?
Take a look, and see what we did in past years to get an idea....

This year we are taking the AVR back home. I've been mowing my ass off to make nice camping spots for y'all, and with 5 acres, there's enough room for everybody. N00b or old, you're all welcome to come party and ride with us all around this Hood we are fortunate enough to call home.

This year we are asking for just ride-in campers and ADVers. We want to include the lot of you, and to do that without stress means goodbye to the campers, trucks and motorhomes. If you are coming from afar and don't wanna ride all the way, please contact a local for parking, or converse meeting/parking places on this thread, or stay at a local campground (but then you miss great evening campfires), just find your way here any way you can on only two wheels this year.

That's pretty much our only rule.
Oh, yeah....that and n00bs MUST bring whiskey.
We don't generally care what kind of whiskey, but this ain't no BMW Rally, so leave that nasty umpteen year old Scotch whiskey at home please (along with the "Military Special").
Bring us sum good ol' 'Merican Whiskey. I'm just gonna mix it with Squirt, so don't spend too much.

If you can do these two things, then we'll feed y'all dinner Thu/Fri/Sat and help out with YOU all making a pot luck breakfast for each other (a complete grocery store is only 3 miles away). Oh yeah, we'll have plenty of morning coffee ready by 6am usually, the exact time for coffee will likely be pending the level of hooliganism (Squishy-ism?:D) on the night before.

    What does it cost?
This is a basically free ADV Rally as your donations to the Kitty jar have always covered the food we will buy for you and the porta-potties we'll rent for you. Those ADVers that can afford more seem to cover those that can afford less, and this has always worked out for all of us.

    What do you get?
Shoot,...this is ADV. You don't really GET anything. Just a place to camp and ride.
Don't expect much but sore cheeks from smiling all weekend, and we'll all get along fine.

Where is home? Somewhere near Parkdale, Oregon.
But I ain't posting my addy, so figger this out...
    45.552566, -121.620856
It'll be obvious when you get close, so don't worry about it.
This country valley will be alive with noisy motorcycles all weekend,...you'll find us.

    Let's RIDE!!!!

I need me some more Hood exploring.

Don't want to jix myself from being there by sayin IN when I got some ball up in the air, but dang it, IN it is!

My favorite Aunt liked whisky and Coke.
    She called them High Balls.
Think I need to show up with some Mexi Coke with the real sugar, like the old days.

Need me some Bennit Pass too.

DigD is still a noob. Always has been, always will be. That's part of the fun riding with him. Ya never know when he's gonna hang his bike upside down in a tree.

You can get mexi cola at any Mercado in Oregon. Good idea.

Pendelton would be nice for the other half.

If you haven't found housing by then maybe talk to AJ.

I think this sounds like a fine idea.
Have to see if I can get that Friday off. Just depends on how busy things are at work.
If not then I'll ride to work loaded down and just pass by the house and head your way. :ricky

I'll have to admit this sounds like actual fun without all the RV's, toy haulers, generators, trailering in and crap. Ride it in or don't ride at all! Awesome!

I think it might be a little too light duty for that though I have considered it.
The next version will be more stout and a bit more flexible.
