Went through that damn creek crossing 3 times without issue! Of course the one time the KLR decided to take a nap it was on film :lol3

Apparently I bumped my camera and got a ton of footage of my handlebars, but I did get the hillclimb and creek crossing.

@e28rusty I was the one asking you before the ride about your camera mounting location. One gets a great deal of visuals on the motorcycle's feedback with respect to road conditions. I like it.

Yeah i think i like it there, i just need to re aim it. when I'm standing up it points too far down. I'd like to do a third person mount but i worry about crashing with one attached to me.

I neglected to give a shout out to Chris (I think that's his name?). He popped in on Sunday in his truck just a few minutes before I left, so all we had was an introduction.

As I was working on my flat on SR-14, he pulls up and helps me get my front tire back on. I don't know that he would have recognized me on the side of the road...I think that's just the kind of guy he is.

    Thanks Chris!

Well got the oil pan off, basically a catastrophic failure. Pan is cracked all over the place, including the back of the pan. Lucky this was not much worse.

Pickup and all else look great. So not sure what was causing the RPM issues.

the engine was seizing and that much rupturing would make bearing faces not fit right together. and if even just a few tablespoons of water got in the oil system cavitation would destroy any special coating on the bearing faces.

sorry but the whole engine needs to come out.
