I agree the Apple tv option is great. Even better is getting a mac mini for 599 and use it with a wireless keyboard. I have it and it great cause you can watch anything that's on the internet with it. I have both.

Wow, looks like Ducati found something. Are Crazy Joe and Speezzzuh running last years Ducs?

If they aren't riding last years bikes, it looks like they are just as good as last years bikes. :cry

I just bought myself the season video pass. I can always come up with an excuse to spoil myself. Hey, it's a few weeks until my half year birthday! I had the video pass a few years back and didn't think I'd go for it again, but want to see if some of the issues I had are worked out. I hope the streaming has become less glitchy. I watched FP3 tonight with no issues, but it was the replay.

The new qualifying format is interesting. Looking forward to see how it all shakes out. Happy first GP of the season guys. This is gonna be fun.

Most interesting stat I heard during FP1 from Julian Ryder, JLo has NOT beaten Dani when they both finished a race since Laguna Seca..

they have found a very analytical rider who is always pretty good at getting a good race setting.

Let's not forget that Lorenzo was in lead management mode for the great part of the season and "finishing a race" was the big difference between them, and how championships are won!

You mean between Lorenzo & Pedrosa??

They both had 2 DNF´s last season, one caused by another rider, and one was their own fault. Other than that, they both finished on the podium EVERY time, 16 times out of 18 races, except Pedrosa once (when he was 4th in France). But he had four 3rd places, whereas Lorenzo had 0 (was always 1st or second when he finished - goddamn impressive, BTW!!)... and Lorenzo picked the right moment to crash on his own, in the last race, with the title already decided.

But I´d say they both constantly finished races on very high placings. It was tight.

edit. .... ok my bad, now I got it you probably meant Jorge had to finish, but not necesssarily beat Dani every time. That´s true of course!

Well, I have my video pass and I have Apple TV. Can't wait for the race tomorrow, hoping for some great battles. So how do I set up the air-play between my iPad and appleTV?

Should be automatic. Press the 'swoosh arrow' icon on your iPad and it gives you the option of playing back on the Pad or Apple TV. That's it!!

Funny: all features work on my IMac, and new iPhone 5. I have an iPad from 2010, first one, never upgraded the operating software.

It always had issues with playback, but not live watching on the Motogp site. now it won't let me see any videos at all!
When I first contacted them a few years ago, they were very helpful to get it up and running for me somewhat back in 2010, but I think it is my older version that just does not allow viewing.

Unless someone knows other wise. I am signed into my desktop phone and iPad on motogp.com, maybe that's the issue?

My year old iPad works for playback. But, no multi-screen on the iPad. I checked the windows machine upstairs. Multi-Screen works on it.

Yamaha Confirms MotoGP Engine Lease Agreement

    Doha (Qatar), 6th April 2013

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd can confirm it has entered into an agreement with the MotoGP World Championship Promoter, Dorna Sports S.L., to supply YZR-M1 engines on an annual lease basis to participating teams in the MotoGP Championship.

The initial program will operate for the 2014-15-16 seasons.

The agreement comes as a result of Yamaha’s work with Dorna and the sport’s governing body, the FIM, to further promote the MotoGP World Championship.

The lease agreement facilitates an increase in competitive engines being available for teams competing in the premier class. The teams will then be free to develop their own bikes around the Yamaha engine or contract an independent chassis manufacturer to construct the complete bike.

Full details of the engine lease supply offer will be available shortly to serious prospective enquirers.

Interested teams are requested to contact Dorna or Yamaha Motor Racing directly.

I'm not in front of mine but if I remember its setup and then "air play" then follow simple online instructions.. Any video will have a small arrow in the lower right, hit that and whatever it on your device will be transferred over to your TV.

Oh and newer Macs will directly share the screen so no need for a mini mac.. unless you alreasdy have the cool little toy..

I'm wondering if the motors in Yamaha's engine lease agreement will be doled out solely by Yamaha or if Dorna will stick their fingers into the allocation?

I'm American, I'm a homer, it'd be real cool if Stanboli's Attack team snags one and puts Nicky on the bike!
