I support Jlo's decision to race without question you fool.:lol3

I am concerned about how "others" will use his example to pressure riders to ride with freshly broken collarbones.

    From Krop's article:

Someone school me!: Why the hell would Cal want to ride the Ducati? :huh

He's currently and consistently beating all the factory Ducs on his Tech3 Yamaha. Obviously, there's some other factor I'm not seeing. Factory or not, the Ducatis are shit, and unlikely to stop being so for many years.

And also it's not insanity to assume he might never beat JLo on the same equipment and he's not even getting the same equipment. With Ducati there is a chance they will make a winning bike. It might seem far fetched but maybe less far fetched than beating JLo regularly on the same or lesser Yamaha.

    Same reasons Dovi left.

Maybe if Cal can somehow stay with Tech3 for one more year he could have a chance at the factory Yamaha if 1) VR retires and 2)Pol Esparago is somehow rerouted.

Up until now, it has not been ´normal´ to have an operation, wake up, jump on a plane, and fly back to the circuit, and race. He just got lucky, and it worked for him. Doesn´t mean it´ll work every time.

J-Lo's tough. He rides with a broken foot. He rides with a broken collarbone. I rekn he'd even ride if his pet budgie got it that morning. I'm impressed.

Oh yeah, Pilbara, you don't count either. You do have a bit of a reputation for being made from good Oz steel tempered by hard red dirt. :D

Yep, and no one is crying bloody murder that Marquez rode with a broken hand and a broken foot. Why no concern there? Certainly he needs both of those to control the motorcycle...

I think it was simply a matter of time; JLo had enough time to get himself ready to race. I don't think Colin had as much time and that affected the doctor's decision to let him race.

    *****

This all kind of reminds me of when Rossi broke his leg. Because it was Rossi, the reaction was like he had died. But it was just a broken leg. A nasty break, no doubt, but no worse than what Randy DePuniet suffered a few rounds later. No one gave two f*cks about RdP.

    ^This.

You might as well get paid well for having no chance of winning, and there's always the hope he might be the next Stoner.

More fuel for the shoulder fire :lol3

@motomatters: According to @MOTOCI_Maroto the plate in Lorenzo's collarbone is bent. Needs to have more surgery. Probably out till at least Laguna Seca

MotoGP.com announcers heard rumors about CC going to a Honda next year........ I am sure Gresini is tired of the crap finishes AB delivers and that would be about as close to a factory bike as CC could hope to get without going to Ducati.

Redding to the 2nd Gresini customer prototype...

Yeah. Much as I was hoping to see Ducati improve after the Audi takeover, it's looking unlikely any time soon.

    I agree Bautista is under-performing.

“I have decided to go home and recover after today's crash at Sachsenring,” said Lorenzo.

“I prefer to focus on surgery to fix the plate that was unfortunately bent during the crash. I will try to recover and be back as soon as possible."
