Marky Mark back on the championship lead with two victories, and three poles... and been on the podium 7 out of 8 races! this weekend both JL and DP made exactly the kind of dumb mistakes, that I guess MM was supposed to make, but hasn't.

Don't give up on MM too soon. If the last two weeks have shown anything it is that any of the riders can be down. :eek1

At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen.

There are still 10 races to go. It is WAY to early to start predicting championships. :deal

Laguna Seca should be very interesting for the championship. JLo and DP will still be on the mend. MM will be seeing the corkscrew for the first time.
Rossi and Crutchlow could both close the point gap to the leaders further still.

Expect to see Pedrosa on the track and Rossi determined not to be 4th. The Yamahas might be banging fairings in the corkscrew. :evil

Definitely looks like he's gonna give it a go. 250 points still up for grabs, so early to say. But he learns more all the time. And many upcoming tracks should belong to Honda, so maybe...

MM&DP probably aren't best friends right now, and if it turns out it is actually Dani's team-mate, who stands between him and that elusive MotoGP title, then their relationship is likely to get even more icy.

I do hope this goes down to the wire between FIVE guys @ Valencia!

MM will just be Dani's latest excuse.

    He doesn't make excuses.

Do you have any examples of him saying "if it wasn't for x, I could've been champion"?

I find the post race press conferences getting more and more entertaining as this championship goes on. I also really think there is a whole new battle of the minds taking place and it is going on behind the public facade that is the entertaining press conference.

It's great for us and it seems that it is also a whole new race, battle what ever you like to call it on a mental front within the top five, who will win?

Really good to see the boys enjoying their racing so much and I think they are also getting a kick out of the mind games. They are all really strong in this area so we are getting good entertainment on and off the track.

What a season and its only half way through!

    Cheers
    Pilbara

The competition is stiff this year so with the recent injuries and lots of races left in the championship I hope it gets closer in points between more than just 2 guys.
I really hope everyone is racing at Laguna, I'm packing the bike tonight and leaving tomorrow after work :D

“The new plate needed ten screws plus one inter fragmentary screw. We then needed to take out some bone substance from the pelvis that was mixed with dried bone. We placed this implant into the collarbone to stimulate the creation of the callus and help speed up the consolidation of the bone.

“The Surgical team involved at the Hospital General de Catalunya, Sant Cugat del Vallés were Doctors Joaquin Rodriguez, Marc Cots and Anna Carreras, anesthetists Doctors Angela Verde and Eric Alvarez and instrumentalists Cristina Gil and Laia Torrens. The operation lasted for two hours.”

So Lorenzo has had two hours of surgery with 11 bolts, a plate and a concoction of bone drawn from his pelvis to replace the former 8-bolt plate that he risked successfully at Assen but bent at the Sachsenring.

At first he thought he'd better let all that heal up but now Yamaha says he's having second thoughts and might put that cobbled together shoulder to the test at Laguna.

After all, lightning never strikes three times in the same place. Right? :huh

I do hope JL will return only after his doctors agree, that he is genuinely healed enough to race again.

He was healed enough to race again at Sachsenring. Just had bad luck. Neither Dani nor Ianonne were carrying injuries and they both got knocked out of the race, too.

Cal raced with no skin on his arms. :eek1

    Skin is over rated anyway.
