If you are paid to entertain, better not be out-styled by the rookies. :deal

Laguna Seca takes full advantage of the current Kevin Schwantz/COTA debacle.

"So we wait, and the possibilities simmer."

I think that "grow slimmer" may be a more appropriate choice of words.

Stoner spoke to the need for a professional rider to adapt their style to the bike. Priority number one is beating your teammate. Expecting Yamaha to develop their bike for Spies' rather than Lorenzo without first showing that he could regularly beat him is a ridiculous request.

Obviously his shoulder is an issue, but I cannot get over the impression that it is actually Spies' heart that hasn't been in it for quite some time. It almost seems that his passion for the motorized version of 2 wheelers has gone. I think that both he and Houseworth may very well be unemployed soon.

The track is finally dry at Jerez and the boys are getting down to some fast times.

No Ben Spies on the timing sheet so far today. :ear

Pedrosa already announced that he was done. But I wonder why no Ben?

I have a feeling his shoulder is worse than he has led on. Maybe even career ending.

Has he done any race simulations? He wouldn't want to start the season like Stoner did last year.

I think he did something close in Malaysia. He definitely didn't at Jerez. They only had a few usable hours yesterday. Today is not much better.

He did state that he is happy with the bike, though.

It is only testing and weird weather testing so not much to take from from the times. However I remember reading on somewhere (maybe on here) someones opinion that Ianonne might be the top Duc rider because he has zero MotoGP experience so nothing to compare it to, and could adapt to the Duc easier than others might.
I agree and can imagine a two-year "sentence" on the Duc that impresses someone and then a decent satellite ride for him.

Good to see Bradl up there in the mix. Man, does anyone feel bad for Edwards? I was certainly a force to be reckoned with in WSBK and he's had his moments in MotoGP. It's just kind of sad to me to see him trailing around at the back of the pack at the end of his career.

Something is up. Colin didn't do any dry laps. Maybe a bike malfunction or something.

Yamaha has been giving Colin several gifts lately. Maybe he is to spearhead the engine lease program next season? :ear

Just guessing. He says the spec ECU is terrible, though. :D

Colin got SO close to winning a GP at Assen (-06?)... sad to say, that looks to be the closest he ever got! And he's a very, very good rider, he finished fifth in overall standings behind the "4 aliens" not so many years ago, riding a satellite Yamaha.

If there is one rider, who would deserve to win one, that's Colin. Not a snowballs chance in hell on the bike he's now on, though.

Ducati has several different spec bikes at the test including a couple of "lab" bikes that they are all testing. Dovi and Hayden were out on bikes with black fairings yesterday. Pirro is right there with the rest of them too.

My thought is this: what is by some chance Ducati actually makes huge strides? There will be four factory Ducatis suddenly competitive. Maybe trying to get second tier riders on the podium will make the bike even better than it needs to be. :hmmmmm

Didn't Rossi go fast on the Duc at a wet Jerez race, too, he even collected Stoner when his ambition outweighed his talent :lol3 and still finished something like top-5?
