They all quit at some point.... Even I quit after 6 years roadracing, well before I had the chance to rise into the international ranks.

Really hoping 2013 delivers. I think MotoGP will unfortunately be struggling for its entire existence within 5-10 years, and in order to turn that boat around it'll need people, who are interested in the sport, and first of all you need hard and exciting racing to get their attention. Right now it's there, on paper at least.

I have a feeling your idea of "Delivers" means Rossi wins.

I really don't care who wins, but I'm hoping it will remain unclear to everybody until the last corner of the last race. Could be asking too much, though.

Same top 10 riders since 2008... Yawn...

We need more fresh blood and 2nd rate factory sponsored rides.

:hmmmmmFour or more (depending on how you rank them) of the top 10 when not even in motogp in 2008.

Less than 24 hours until the motogp bikes take to the track to kick off the season.

I will hit the interstate Friday afternoon pointed west toward home. Hopefully this time with less drama.

I've got the "Desert 100" this weekend so I won't be able to watch any MotoGP action until Sunday night.

Should be a fun weekend capped off with some great racing over the net!

    Yes ... interesting, isn't it.

Without Stoner, you'd think the stats say it all.

With Stoner, it is obvious they don't tell the whole story.

Right, it doesn't say what level of bikes they started out on, MM and CS were on different levels of sponsorship in the early stages and are both amazing talents.
Someone put together a nice graph though..

Exactly, I don't think you can count Stoner, he rode privateer 250's first and then 125's. Not at all the "normal" path for an alien.

He also didnt win on either in the 125's or 250's...not saying that wins in the smaller cc class equate to success at the top level but he still didnt see any success til he hopped on his Duc
