Hi bubu...yes, it seems winter is reluctant to release it's grip at the moment - we have snow forecast for the coming week and temps around 3 C for the coming Sunday ...so we are still waiting to start our rideouts...but it won't be long now!

Sorry, not been around much on here lately .... had a lot on at work and we changed broadband providers which meant no internet for a few weeks at home (these things never seem to go as planned! - but it's all sorted now)

    So time to catch up....

I hope so too Terry ..I really do! I've had enough of winter now. ..and I'm itching to get out on the gixxer again.....no chance this weekend :cry - it's going back to winter again..but that's because it's the Scottish Bike Show this weekend ..and that always means ..snow! Lol! :D

Maybe spring will come the weekend after. *sigh*

Honestly? ......No, I can't see England...that looks far too sunny to be anywhere remotely close to the British Isles! :deal

Nice! - Now that's what winter should look like - cold, clear, crisp snow and sunshine.

Things should start to pick up soon as we get back out on the road later this month sometime.

Although the weekly rideouts are off the agenda during the winter life goes on and as a group we still meet up regularly for breakfast on some Sundays.

At one of our recent meet-ups Dave surprised us by turning up on his new bike .....

Don't worry..he hasn't gone crazy .......He still has his gixxer 750 ...the Harley is a 'second bike' ..just to cruise around on when the mood takes him..having collected a few points from speeding offences in the past year he was worrying about his license and feels the Harley won't encourage him to 'misbehave' as much as the gixxer.

Gordon trying it out for size...

    Hi Matt........ yes, but you are a 'rufty-tufty all-year-biker' - we are just 'show-pony riding weekend-warrior power-rangers. :wink::D

Actually we have been out riding a lot (Sarah & I)...but on the bicycles....
The gixxers are currently SORNED so off-road waiting for spring ...I can't see the point in getting them plastered in road salt (means hours of cleaning after every short run) and the tyres on mine are Michelin Power One's that are track/road tyres - great in normal conditions but shite in the cold temps (spinning up the rear all over the place).

I have ridden through many winters when I was young and my only transport was a bike ...and been 'down the road' on my ass due to ice on numerous occasions ..... it's a 'young mans game' - your bones heal up much quicker.

Still been taking the 'onboard' shots - but it's a bit different on a bicycle! Lol!

Clydeside a couple of Sunday's back....

ps. As for the Bike Show. Sorry. no, we aren't planning on going ...I have been many times over the years and it tends to be the same stuff most years so we only go every now and then these days (like if there is a particular new bike we want to see etc.) It's worth going if you haven't been before ..but if you have been dozens of times you start to get the 'been there got the T-shirt' kind of feeling. No new bikes this year to pull us in and make me feel it's worth the trip over to Edinburgh.

38C ! That's 'warm'! :D ..... By contrast our forecast is for a 'high' of 2C on Monday :cry....

Mind you 38 C sounds like too much of a good thing! ...I like temps to be in the 15 - 25 C range ideally for riding in full leathers.

The official title is "Milwaukee Vibrator". Ever wonder why so many women will ride on the back of one? :huh Perhaps Kam's friend is a little smarter than the rest us us FFs? :lol3
