A93 on Friday ...
Bridge over Clunie Water
Unfortunately the flame on Keith's birthday cake candle wasn't the only one we saw ...on the way back we got held up in Perth because of this ..:eek1
Ciao the VW Van :eek1:eek1
Aye, and I quite like those VW Combi vans...... I remember going around in one as a child when a friend's dad had one .... They were 'cool' even back then in the 60's.
I'm just putting this picture I found on the net here ...because it's the best pic ever ...taken of Josh Brookes last weekend at BSB Cadwell Park ..jumping the mountain.
Someone at Suzuki had the brainwave of putting a cape on him to get the best photo of all time ...... 'is it a bird? ...is it a plane? .....No, it's ...'
...... oh and it's a gixxer 1000! ....a blue n white one!
Sarah and I were away over the weekend down in Norfolk ...saw this at
Wells Next The Sea........nice! ... looks like a lot of fun.
it is an RD (or RZ depend the country). At the first view i thought it was a TZ...
They were 'RD's' in the UK, I had one of the older air cooled 250's back in the 70's .... this looks like it is one of the later LC versions ...probably the RD350LC ...(LC = Liquid Cooling).
The LC350 was an awesome wee bike ...probably one of the most fun bikes I have ever ridden...
yes sure it is a 350 LC.
It is a very funny bike, and for me better than the 500 LC.
I want the 2 strokes back!!!
I agree and have thought for a while that one of the big Japanese manufacturers should bring out a 500/750 two-stroke sportsbike ..... with a modern frame, handling and brakes .... Ok, it may not be great on petrol consumption but I bet they would sell loads of them as a lot of older bikers like myself were brought up on these things and would love to ride one again to hark back to their youth... ... it would be a good niche market.
... Are you reading this Mr Suzuki ?
Which reminds me ...this very tidy X7 was parked next to the LC on Monday .....
and on the subject of nice old stuff ...........saw this lovely Bentley the same day ...
what a beautiful car :eek1:eek1
and beautiful house :huh
That Bentley looks similar to the Bentley my husband and I left our wedding in - it was a rental, but it was pretty amazing to ride in, for sure!
Now that is noice!

..and that's not 'the house' - just the stables tagged on the side of the house.......
The house is pretty impressive - It's Holkham Hall in Norfolk ...... built in 1764 it is home to the current Earl of Leicester
Hi Liz, good to hear from you .....sounds like you had the perfect wedding car ... I do love the smell of old leather you get inside cars from this era.
Bet it made a perfect 'backdrop' to some of your wedding photos too....
I used to like the old GT250 that came before it .... when I started out riding at 18 yrs old I had the RD250..and my best mate had the GT250 ........ 'happy days'... rattling baffles and trails of blue smoke ..
my 2nd bike (when I was 17) was a Suzuki T250R or Husler as it was known at the time, very quick 250cc at that time.
