Another 'gixxergirl'! Awesome! gotta love those 'fast ladies' :D

'400 mile day of twisties' is amazing ... but leaves me knackered at the end of it. Lol! ... Tired, but very happy.

Thanks for the very kind offer re: the 'house-swap'... Now there's an idea! I might just take you up on that sometime. No more overseas holidays for us at the moment though whilst we fight our way out of 'recession' in the UK (we are already scheduled to do the Nurburgring later this year ..and a trip to France) ... however business is picking up at the moment so 'watch this space' . :D

Thanks! :D Good to hear from a 'kindered spirit' .. I can't think of a better way to spend a day than out with good friends on sportsbikes. :D
And the bike cops tend to be the best .. They tend to understand 'the calling' .. most are great riders too.

Man you make that place look inviting! :brow

I'm also more and more impressed with your photography.

Cool about the cop riding with you! One of my best ridin buddies is an officer as well. Here he is on his 'Busa and me on my Duc

Thanks again for sharing, Mark H.

Thanks for the pics. The twisty bits of road look like a lot of fun. It seems that all the police drive BMW's. Good choice.
I mentioned to my wife that Scotland looks like a great place to take the bike, and the first comment out of her mouth was the "Rain". Of course I would gladly take rain over the snow. However when the summer arrives in Canada it makes for the best three days of riding you could ever imagine :D

Absolutely stunning photos - thanks for sharing!! My dad lived in Scotland for a few years in the late 60s and keeps telling me I need to go. My next overseas trip might just be Scotland with my bike :)

Great looking bikes ..as you can tell I ride with a lot of Ducati fans. They are gorgeous looking machines and amazing in the bends. Loving your friend's Busa ..I had one for 6 years ..and I loved that bike! They handle a lot better than most folk realise ..I had fun surprising quite a few R1 and gixxer pilots in the twisties on mine. :D

Here is the one I had, together with my R1. I was fortunate to have a choice of what to ride for about 6 months.. then had to sell one because having three kids at university was becoming expensive (and I couldn't justify to my then wife the luxury of two bikes!) So with regret I sold the Busa ...only to write the R1 off two months later! (Skin grafts, three months off work and being bikeless for 6 months followed). My wife said - 'No more bikes!' ..... so I bought the gixxer without telling her ... we got divorced the following year. Lol!

I am lucky now to have a new partner who loves riding and has her own gixxer. :D ... So things can often work out for the best. :deal

Lol! about the 'three days' :D ...feels the same here - we do get a lot of rain it seems ... but when it's dry this place is biking heaven and all the crappy wet days make you really appreciate the good ones. :deal

As for police BMW's, true they do like them .... unfortunately some are 'unmarked' ...here is the last one that did me for speeding.

sounds like the beginning of a great master plan :freaky

Is your "gixxergirl" is on a 750?....I hope she wouldn't be too disappointed with a swap for a 600? But there are a few of other bikes in the garage to choose from (if you'd like to play in the dirt or take a scenic adventure ride).

The infamous "dragon" is only a couple of hours from where we live, along with many many many other great roads. And there are several tracks within a few hours drive (nothing like Nurburgring I'm sure).

    teasers:

600 is pretty quick too

Looking awesome! Gixxer looks good to! :D

Would love to do 'the Dragon' ... I look in on the 'Killboy site' regularly.
I recognise you and that bike - have you had pics on Killboy or BARF?

Would be great if the swap was possible ..will see how the year goes 'business wise'. Otherwise, if you are planning to tour the UK / Scotland make sure you come to Glasgow and do some rides with us (we have a spare room if you need somewhere to stay for a few nights). :D

Oh and to answer your question yes, Sarah (my gixxergirl) has a 750 ...she has rides my my 1000 from time to time :-
